I love that song. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone takes steps in the wrong direction. But it's not about those mistakes. It's not about the destination. It's about the journey.
Right now, my journey is getting a little bit busy. Not that it's a bad thing. But things are definently changing around here. I start my cake decorating classes the 9th of next month. I'm excited. We went out and signed up for them today. We also picked up the 101 piece Wilton professional cake decorating kit. It's got a TON of kool things. A bunch of tips. Three GIANT ones, which is awesome, and then it's also got one designed to ice the cake. It's SUPER GIANT! It's awesome. Then it's got two different spatulas, a roller for fondant, a flower pin, and a bunch of other things. TONS of disposable icing bags. And then it's got the book too that covers all three courses offered at the hobby lobby. Which is kool. I'm happy to hear that. I know i'm going to have to practice. I know i'm going to have to decorate cakes in class and create things in class. And even though it's got me a bit nervous, i know it's going to be great. It's a bunch of things i've wanted to do for a long time. And my friend, who's already taken the class, says it's great. I'm just ready for it to start.
I have to get ahold of the supply list sometime soon. They forgot to give me the list when i went and signed up for it. I doubt it will be a big problem. Just means i've got to hit another hobby lobby (the one i'm taking the class at is a bit further away than i had hoped, but it should be ok. I might have to see about some extra gas money though, cause it will use a bit) There are a few closer, so it shouldn't be hard to get it. I know we need to figure it out soon since i've got to have some different things for that first week. UGH!
Either today or tomorrow we get the fundraiser stuff. Then we have to run over and get them delivered to Ms. Linda over at Natures treasures for what she had ordered. Then we have orders from his mother in law, and my family. I'll have ot mail them to my family as soon as i can afford the box. It's not a lot, and i don't think they ordered something that is TOO big, so it shouldn't be too much. Maybe i can get it taken care of in the next couple weeks so they can get the stuff they ordered without having to make a trip down here or us having to go down there, or us having to hold on to it for the next year, lol. That's how it seems to happen sometimes though, so hopefully it won't this time. i wish it were today, but i have a feeling it will be tomorrow. BLAH, i want to get the stuff we ordered too! My bookmark, the cake tool that mom bought me, and the other couple little things. And i hope Ivy gets her prizes too. There were a bunch of cute little things for her.
For now, i've got a few things to take care of before picking Ivy up. SO i'm outta here
