THIS POST IS A RANT THAT INCLUDES RELIGION AND POLITICS. IF YOU CAN'T READ IT WITHOUT CAUSING A STIR, SIGN OFF NOW!!! I'M NOT GOING TO ALLOW COMMENTS AT ALL. You have been warned.....
Lately i've heard a lot about people of different religions causing trouble with each other. If you keep up with the news, i'm sure you've heard a lot of it too. And what i believe is this:
I don't care what you believe in. I just care that you have something to believe. I care that you have something to put your faith in when times get hard and you feel all alone.
I wish that more people believed the way i do. Not in the same things, of course. It would be nice, but to each their own, and i'm not going to try to force anything on anybody. Everyone has the right to find what they truely believe in, and not just blindly follow what they were taught from birth.
For the EXTREME religions, and you know which ones i'm talking about, so i'm not going to name names and make this a battle between them all, you need to learn to be more patient with people. The Christians who live their lives trying to force their beliefs on those around them need to go back and read the bible again. I was brought up Jehovah's witness, and in reality looking back on it, they were a bit extreme in their beliefs at times. The fact that when someone makes a mistake they are shunned until a group of men decides that you have repented enough seems wrong to me, but they believe it wholeheartedly, and that's their right. There are other religions right now who are causing a stir over certain people in high status being a different religion (or they believe they are a different religion). I'm sorry, it's really not your place.
The thing you really need to ask yourself is this: Are they doing anything that is HARMING YOU? And be honest! Are they making it so you don't have food in your stomach, a roof over your head, or clothes on your back? Are they making you harm someone else? Because if the answer to both of those questions is NO, then forgive me, but what's the problem? If they are doing something that is harmful, then fine, hate them all you want. But from where i'm sitting, they are doing better than most before them, and i think that's a good thing.
What is peoples obsession with the war overseas? Yes, we have people over there "helping" the government get set up. Yes we have lost lives because of it. To be honest, i think that all war is stupid. Especially when it's going on in another country. Practice peace, and peace will follow you. Instead of keeping everyone out of our country, let them in, help them establish themselves. Stop making them sneak around and do things that will get them in trouble. It's not worth it, at all, to have to deal with all that. I just don't understand. I guess i have a very idealistic mindset. I know things that would make this life, this world, better. But the human race is driven by GREED! "Who has the most? I want to be friends with THEM and screw everyone else." I think money is our downfall. Without it, we would be forced to trade again. It would mean that nobody would be born into fortunes and never lift a finger a day in their lives. WE are raising a generation of spoiled brats who feel ENTITLED. We, as parents, are losing control. We are being forced by this younger generation to HAND THEM EVERYTHING, and when we don't they make our lives living hell.
What ever happened to discipline? Oh, that's right, apparently discipline makes children grow up to be hateful, murderous people who will go on to do horrible things. Um, NO! I was disciplined as a child. Even spanked. And i grew up to be respectful of those in atthority. I grew up to know my place, and what is best for my family and myself. I grew up knowing that i had to work for things, and that nothing was free. I learned the importance of a hard days work, and how great the reward was when you had earned it. More children need to learn those important facts of life before they are released into the world. Otherwise, things are going to get UGLY when they get smacked in the face by reality. You know i'm right!
Anyway, enough for my rant. Just had to get it out somewhere, and didn't want to cause a huge hairy debate over it all. So if you read it, DO NOT COMMENT. I don't care if you agree or dissagree. I just needed to say it before i started screaming it at people and making things super bad. It's not worth it to have that happen.
Today has been pretty productive. I walked Ivy to school this morning and confirmed that i could bring her some special cookies or something Friday for her birthday since it will be Sunday and they are out of school monday and tuesday. Then came home and we went grocery shopping. Picked up lots of snacky foods, which is awesome. Then we came home and put all the groceries up. We started cleaning, and so far the Kitchen, living room, main bathroom, and Ivy's bedroom (except for vaccuming Ivy's room) are completely finished :) So when Ruben wakes up tonight i might try to get the bedroom finished. And if not, i might try to do that Friday. Tomorrow i am going to go out and clean for Brita and her family. Gonna walk ivy to school and pretty much leave straight out from there. That way i can be back in enough time for Ruben to go to bed for the day. Shouldn't take TOO long, since i was just out there two weeks ago, and i know more about what she's expecting. We will see though. I really enjoy working out there, and the little extra money every now and then is really nice. Tomorrow i will make 60, and if i can get in their and crank it out in 3 hours (which is possible, but not probable, lol) i will make 20 bucks an hour. Even if it takes 4 which is more likely, it's still 15 per hour. That's nice. ANd it's nice to leave behind something that they enjoy. Maybe i can pick up another one or two sometime in the future to make a little extra money every now and then. Every penny counts right? At least until we get my settlement, which is probably still months off because it's going to court. UGH! I just hope we get SOMETHING out of the deal, because if we don't, i will be PISSED, especially after all the stuff i had to deal with from the accident.
Neway, enough rambling and ranting. gonna get off here and rest for about 45 minutes before it's time to go pick Ivy up from school. Then we are gonna come home and get Ivy to finish her homework, and then we will go over to her grandma's house to let them visit for a while and pick up some laundry and a few other things. LATERS
