I feel like the world is spinning faster and faster, and i'm just holding on for dear life. There is so much going on right now. Nothing really BAD, but definently nothing NEW. Just the same old routine, week in and week out, and it's tiring. Forget asking for help though. It's always an uphill battle, and just makes things worse. BUT, things have been going a bit smoother. Other than the heat, and having to keep the AC running damn near all day just to keep it comfortable. It's hard, and i'm sure it will get expensive, but hey, it's ok. We always make it work.
I've been keeping up with the house, so it's not so hard at the end of the day before bed to pick it back up and make it beautiful again. I'm not embarrassed anymore when people show up unexpected. Dishes, trash, and cat litter are still a pain, and getting laundry put up at the end of laundry day just doesn't happen. In fact, there is still laundry to put up that was done Sunday. BUT, at least it's done right? lol.
I seriously HATE summer. This year, i swear, we are gonna break the record for number of days over 100 degrees. We are already pushing it, ugh! Just too damn hot, especially when there is no AC in the car. So to go do anything, we have to plan WAY ahead of time to make sure we have cold things to drink, and cool clothes, and keep the visors up, etc. So yeah. Doubtful we will be getting out during the day often while it's still so darn hot. It's not like we have a whole lot of money anyway. Actually, i just looked it up, and OKC broke it's previous high for today. The previous high was 106, and we hit 108 today! OUCH! And we are already sitting at 18 days over 100 degrees for the year, and the next 7 days are supposed to be over 100 too, so it's gonna be stupid hot. So anything we have to do we need to get done before the sun rises if possible, lol. Not easy with Ruben working until 7am, ya know? lol. It's all good though. As long as we get out of here early, it's not so bad, and then get home for the heat of the day.
Right now, i just with my headache would go away. It's frustrating, to say the least. Making me pissy with the girls fussing. Desiree, once again, refused to take a nap (i guess she's hitting that age.) and is being a brat and a half. Ivy, who hasn't even been home 12 hours yet, is taking the brunt of it. I guess Desi got used to being the only one around, and having sissy home isn't what she was expecting today. I'm glad she's home, for sure. Just wish they could get along.
i love my mom, for sure. Every time Ivy goes down there, my mom sends her home with a new wardrobe, lol. Can't complain. It's money we dont have to spend, and Ivy definently needs the clothes. Desiree is wearing some of the other clothes that my mom has given us before, so it's all coming back around. It's nice. I couldn't find any of Ivy's shorts, but mom sent her home with at least 5 new pairs of shorts, that FIT, and a whole bunch of shirts. They are addorable. :) Ivy loves them. And mom got her a new necklace, a piggy bank, a stuffed animal she got to do herself, and one for Desiree too, and some other toys. I would love to be able to afford to do that for the girls myself, but alas, not yet. Hopefully next year it won't be so bad. we can go into the store, and buy new clothes we see that they like, or new toys, or shoes, etc. I don't know if ruben will go for it or not, but i think i'm ready to replace the furniture in the living room. And i DEFINENTLY want to get some better storage solutions for certain things in the house.
The girls room: I want to find better ways to store their toys. I'm pretty sure i know how i want to do it. I want to get the metal shelves that you can arrange however you want, and then set them up in like a 5 by 5, or 6 by 6 square (lots of space) and put the drawers in them that have the little space for pics on the front. That way there is never any confusion where something goes. That would replace the current stuff. Use the bottom shelves for her books, then the top few for the drawers with toys. Then i want to completely reorganize the closet space too. That way i can put BOTH girls clothes in the closet. I also want to find a way to store all the toys along one wall so i can put both girls beds in the room. Desiree will be ready to start sleeping in the same room as Ivy here pretty soon (or at least i'd like to think she will)
The Game area: I want to find a way to store his models better. They keep getting broken, or knocked over, or whatever. And also the terrain. That way under the table isn't so cluttered. I'm pretty sure the shelves like Ivy's bedroom, and that way there is plenty of space to spread things out and organize it according to type.
Right now ,i'm still fighting with the heat headache, but i think the girls and I are about to get otu and go to the store to pick up something stupid easy for dinner. I don't feel like really cooking with this darn migrane. I can't wait until Ruben wakes up so he can watch the girls for a bit, and see if i can't soak in a bath, or go to bed and cover my head and rest for a bit. Just irritating, to say the least.
on another note, if you read this, and are on Facebook, go check out my page i created for the paper stars i make. It's called Wish Upon A Star. I sell them, for cheap prices. So check it out!
