Honestly, there are two different animals I'd be if I could.
First, I'd be a Crane. They are beautiful birds. They can fly. They are rare enough (at least in the area I live) that you don't see them every day. Lots of reasons really, but yeah. A crane. Like these:
Or I'd be a Jaguar. Big, muscular, cat (which i love). Self sufficient. BEAUTIFUL! Strong, and fierce. Just love them. Something like this:
