The next few months

Well, it's september. Hard to believe that this year has gone by so fast. And of course, the end of the year offers no peace of mind. It offers a horribly busy schedule, very little in the way of income, and the only GOOD thing about the end of summer - Cooler temperatures. I do love fall though, and can't wait for the fall weather to officially get here. It will be very nice to have some cooler temperatures to go out and play in, and more color to the trees, as long as the heat doesn't kill the leaves off before they get to change color. We will just have to wait and see what happens as far as that's concerned. At least the majority of the b-days are out of the way for now. Desiree turned two on August 18th, and Ivy turned 7 sunday, September 5th. Still, that doesn't mean things get to slow down. This month, for the most part, doesn't have much more going on that we know of yet, but starting next month things will start to speed up and get hectic.

Ivy has her parent teacher confrences the end of not next week but the week after. And she brings snack on the 21st i believe. And i will probably go out and clean again sometime this month. She called about every two weeks so far, so if she keeps that up,that will be fine. 50-60 every two weeks doesn't hurt at all. And if she doesn't, no biggie there either. It's not like we NEED that money. It's just nice to have.

Next month i'm going to start taking a cake decorating class at the hobby lobby in moore. It's official, it's going to happen, and i'm both excited and nervous. I haven't had "class" since those classes with the childcare stuff, and i was with a bunch of people i knew in those classes. I know i will be nervous as hell that first day, but i think it will be a good thing for sure. I will get to learn some of the techniques i have wanted to know for a long time now, and actually be able to use some of the things that i like to see. And it will be once a week through the end of the year. Which really isn't bad, as long as the weather doesn't get bad fast. Once a week, for like 2 hours a week to learn how to do some of the things i want to do, and then i'm sure i will have "homework" which is fine by me, and i'm sure Ruben will love to see it too. So that's happening starting the first saturday in October. And then, of course, the end of october is Halloween, so i've got to start figureing out costumes and stuff. I know both girls will have a blast. And we will probably go trick-or-treating again through our old neighborhood. There were a TON of houses that were handing out candy, and it was somewhere we were familiar with, so it wasn't horrible. Halloween is going to be on a Sunday, so as long as Ruben goes to bed early, he will be awake for us all to go together. That shouldn't be too hard. That's over a month away, so we've got plenty of time to plan it out.

And then November is Thanksgiving stuffs. Ivy will have her thanksgiving break at school, and of course we will do lunch/dinner at the in-laws house as always. Ruben will have to work, but he always has to work, seeing as how it's always on a Thursday. But that's fine. And we will see what happens, because we might be able to afford for him to take that Thursday night off and enjoy a three day weekend. That would be nice. We will just have to wait and see.

And THEN is December. That always seems to be the month of a million things to do. Of course, Ivy will have her winter/christmas break and be out of school for two weeks. That's the month where we hit the holiday shopping HARDCORE, and i'm just hopeing that we can get something from my settlement, because that would make for an awesome christmas for EVERYONE, instead of just the girls. All i hope is that my christmas ends up better this year than it was last year. I had been in the accident in November, so i was in pain, and i got a bunch of random shit that i didn't really like that much. I got a jacket that didn't even fit, a bunch of bath fizzers that i didn't like the smell of, and a bunch of matching candles that i haven't even bothered with lighting because they give me a headache. I got a FEW things from Ruben that i liked, but even then it wasn't much. I spent a TON of money on games and stuff for Ruben and the girls, and ended up screwing myself out of things that i wanted. And then with Income tax, when i would have made it up to myself, we had to use the vast majority of it for car payments and moving. I was pissed. At least this year we aren't going to be moving. We are going to pay Jim for the car, get Ruben another car, sink a LITTLE money into the cars to get them running ok, and then get things that we WANT. I'm getting my glasses replaced, since they are YEARS old. I'm buying myself a good DSLR camera and memory card to go with it. And then i'm going to set money back for MYSELF! To have money for clothes when there is something cute i want to buy, or to have money to go out to the movies when a movie is out i want to see really bad. I'm probably going to get the friends pass for the zoo next year. For like 65 dollars i can take me, one other adult, and up to 5 kids ANYTIME WE WANT TO GO! That's not bad, considering it costs ME 11 bucks everytime we go right now, and that's only until Desiree turns 3, then it will cost even more. 11 bucks a time means we can go 6 times total for the entire year for the same price as the pass, and we could go every other weekend if we wanted. Just go let the girls play in the water at the childrens zoo, or do photo shoots at the zoo with the girls. So i want to get that, and i want to get the season pass to the science museum, seeing as how the girls have never been and i'm sure they would love it. And then we might get another season pass for Ruben and I go to go frontier city and white water. They aren't cheap, but if we get that then we can go do that any weekend we wanted to go and we could get a sitter. So yeah, we would have a major expense out of income tax, but that would give us an amazing summer of things to do. I think it would be worth it.

I'm wanting to get a business started. A REAL business. i clean two houses. And yeah, that's something, but it would be nice to have three or four more that would bring in more money on a regular basis. I need to get Brita to write a review on sittercity. i need to put an ad in the paper or something like that to see if i can get some more business. And i need to get my business cards out so people know what it is i do. i might see about putting a few in the office here, and a few up at Natures treasures or something like that. See what i can come up with. Just a little extra money on a regular basis would help. Like i said before, it's not like we NEED it, but it would be nice to have. Right now, Ruben makes enough to cover all the bills plus some misc expenses, we got food stamps for our food, and i get to stay home with the girls except for going out and cleaning. Not too shabby. And with the experience he has, if we do ever decide to move somewhere else, he would have the experience to get a good job there too. He might even get back into the hotel industry, or a night position at a convience store or something like that.

I know we will be here at least another year. This year we are taking care of our vehicles. If we can make it work where we pay our car insurance up for both vehicles for the entire year, that would make that easier. that way we would have TWO paid off cars with a full year of insurance taken care of for both cars. That way all we would have to have would be gas. Not too shabby.

Right now, i need to get off the computer. I'm sure i'll get back on here and ramble some more before i go to bed. I've got a MILLION things running circles i my head right now, and i won't be able to sleep until they are gone. i need to get rid of my headache, get dinner finished, straighten up the living room and Kitchen a little bit, and then wake Ruben up. Then we will do dinner, put the girls down for the night, and have a little peace and quiet before he has to leave SO i'm outta here! LATERS
