an amazingly ordinary day

And my life seems to be full of them right now. Not that an ordinary day is such a bad thing. Sometimes it is definently relaxing. But when it's one right after the other, it gets a bit boring.

So aparently life decided i'd had enough. This weekend, for sure, was not so ordinary.

Friday we didn't really do a whole lot. We went and got groceries and then came home and put them up. We straightened on the house, and watched a few movies. We played a few games, and just chilled around the house. Not horrible. Went to bed early so we could get up early.

Saturday, we got up at 4:45 like we have been the last few weeks. We went downtown and hung out around there, had a good walk, and just enjoyed the sunrise and the beautiful temperatures. It was nice, except for the fact Desiree thought she needed to walk the entire way, and when we wouldn't let her out of the stroller, she proceded to scream for the next 30 minutes. And except for the fact that Ivy was complaining the entire time that she was SUPER tired (even though she was already awake when i went in there to get her up, and she was super excited to go) and that her legs and throat and head were hurting a bit. We chocked it up to her being a bit tired and her allergies acting up. When we got home, just to see, i took her temperature. It wasn't anything extraordinary. It was right at 99ish. But over the next few hours, she got worse. Her temp spiked, her throat got really red and swollen, and she just seemed to be miserable. SOO, I took her to the ER since her doctor wasn't open. We were hopeing it wouldn't be that bad and she'd get over it, but alas, it didn't happen. They fast tracked her, and time in the ER plus time to get her script filled wasn't more than 2 hours. FASTEST ER VISIT EVER, thank goodness. We got home, gave her her medicine, ate dinner, and went to bed. We were so exausted after that day, and the fact that i hadn't had a nap. It was crazy.

Then this morning, I got woke up about 5 to the smoke detector going off. Aparently Ruben had started the heater, and it was burning all the stuff out of it, and set it off. SCARED ME TO DEATH, but the girls slept right through it, lol. No biggie. I went right back to sleep and got up about 2.5 hours later. 7:30 much better than 5, ya know? Got Ruben to bed, the laundry sorted, and let Ivy play on her game, and took a nap. Then we went over to do laundry, just a couple hours later than normal. normally we go over there about noon. But desiree didn't even lay down to take her nap until 11, and she slept for 3 hours. So we didn't get there until around 2ish. No biggie, only had one basket of laundry to do anyway, seeing as how Ivy and Desiree both have enough clothes to wear a different outfit for a year before they ran out. NO, not kidding! So i just mainly washed the favorite things, and Ruben's clothes, lol. Hey, whatever works right? They were cooking out over there, and had a great big spread. hot dogs, brats, steak, vegi's, potatoes, etc. It was good. Very good. If i can say nothing else about my father in law, i can certainly say he grills with the best of them. So we just kidna vegged out while the laundry was going. Then we headed home about 6-6:30 (can't actually remember, i wasn't in a uber hurry) And when we got home Ruben was already awake. Ivy wanted Spaghetti (which we do every sunday) with MEATBALLS. So ruben and i got in there and made meatballs. It turned out good. Everyone ate quite a bit, and then the girls went to bed. They've been in bed just under 2 hours now. Hopefully i cna get to sleep soon.

This week there's alot goign on too. Wednesday (if we have the gas money) i'm going out to clean at James house. Then Saturday is the first day of my classes, and Sunday is supposed to be the Light the Night walk around the capital. And somewhere in there is going to be some shopping for supplies for the cake decorating classes, as soon as i get the money from my friend (thank goodness for her, i kid you not!) and we have to pay the rent before the end of business the 5th. Shouldn't be a huge deal. And then i've got to deliver the stuff to Linda and the other woman up there with her. Hopefully, it all works out without much trouble. That would be nice.

For now, i'm gonna go crash out and try to get a good nights sleep. It's been a long few days, and it seems like they aren't gonna stop anytime soon!
