But the end of the school year just before summer always seems to be that way.
Today we got up early and went for a walk downtown. I absolutely love going down there about that time. Nobody around, we have the whole city to ourselves it seems. It's beautiful too. With the ambient lights they have down there, and all the wonderful green trees that are all out blooming. It's wonderful. Got some good pics too. We walked all the way over to the crystal bridge and myriad gardens (which isn't completley finished yet, but they've got A LOT done so far) and saw the things that were finished. It's BEAUTIFUL! i know it's going to be a new favorite place for us. I'm excited for it's opening. And you can get a GOOD look at the Devin tower from the park. It's HUGE. Amazing. And it's hard to believe that it's not even finished yet!!! Gonna be the tallest building in OKC. I hope they put an observation deck or something on it so you can go to the top and see the city. That would be great! Guess we will see.
Then we came home, i took a bath, Ruben and I played around for a while, and then i took a 3.5 hour nap! That was wonderful. I rarely get naps like that. Then when i got up, it was Ruben's turn, lol. He's been in bed since about 3, and i'm gonna try to let him sleep until about 7-8 when i'll get dinner done. That way He can stay up late tonight, but maybe still be up late in the morning and come with me to watch Ivy do the memorial walk. And if we can get up early enough, maybe go ahead and get a few things for groceries too so i don't have to do that just the girls and I after doing a little laundry.
So tomorrow we have to be down by the OKC Bombing memorial by no later than 8:15 (which is when it STARTS, so i want to be there by like 7:45 at the latest) which means we need to be up by like 7ish. I have NO IDEA where we are supposed to be parking, if they will offer shuttles, etc. SOO, i want to give us enough of a chance to get down there and get parking and make it to the start gate on time. Then she will do her 1.2 miles, and we will meet at the childrens corral when it's over and i can pick her up from there. THEN, we will either bring their daddy home and get laundry, or if he's already asleep i'll come by and get the laundry and then we will go get that done. I doubt i will do a whole lot of it, seeing as how i'm going to be up early, and be extreamely exausted. Then we will probably hit the store, pick up dinner, and come on home. Probably do something EASY, like pizza and breadsticks, or something along those lines.
Then upcoming events include - Ivy is snack leader tuesday the 3rd, Payday is the 5th, Mothers day is the 8th, then they will have Teacher appreciation week the 9-13th, i will clean for Brita on the 10th, super kids day is the 13th, The school Talent Show is the 17th, which is also Ruben's birthday, the awards assembly and last day of school is the 18th, then ruben has payday on the 19th which is his big paycheck and the first day of summer. SOO, hopefully we can do something awesome that weekend as a celebration of both the start of summer and his birthday. I'd LIKE to take the girls to the Renn faire in Muskogee, but if the weather is too hot, and the car AC isn't fixed, that's probably out. That's an aweful long trip with no AC. So we might have to look closer.
I need to get some work done on the house, finish making tea, and then figure out what's for dinner. THEN wake Ruben up. Probably get last weeks laundry put up, and get the laundry for tomorrow together so i don't have to do it tomorrow. i have NO IDEA how long things are going to take, so i'd like to be as prepared as possible, ya know? i know next year i'm gonna want to train and actually run the full marathon. That's a lot of running, but i know if we start training NOW we can be ready for it.
SOO, i'm gonna turn some music up, and get to work. LATERS
