After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand, and changing a soul. And you learn that love doesn't mean learning, and company doesn't mean security. When we are young, we cannot wait to be older - to talk, to walk, to go to school, to drive, to date, to graduate, to fall in love, to get a job, to make our own lives. But don't be in too much hurry to grow up. When you are older your childhood is the place you will go to reminisce, to find answers, to seek comfort, to reasure, to understand yourself. It is a time that you will shine in your mind and bring you thought of warmth, security, and love. Many times, places, and people make the memories of childhood, and they become more precious the older you get. I can tell you this from experience, adulthood comes soon enough with it's responsibilities and cares. Don't hurry through this time - Slow down, make the most of it, and saver the memories.

If I Knew
If i knew it would be the last time that i'd see you fall asleep, i would tuck you in more tightly and pray the lord your soul to keep. If i knew it would be the last time that i'd see you walk out the door, i would give you a hug and a kiss and call you back for one more. If i knew it would be the last time i'd be there to share your day, well i'm sure you'll have so many more, so i can just let one slip away. For surely there's tomorrow to make up for our oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything right. There will always be another chance to say our "I Love You's" And Certainly there's always another chance to say our "anything i can dos". But just in case i might be wrong, and today is all i get, i'd like to say how much i love you and i hope we never forget, tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike. And today may be the last chance we get to hold a loved one tight. Take time to say "i'm sorry, please forgive me" "Thank you" or "it's ok" And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.
