Right now there are so many things rambling around in my head, and i'm having a hard time keeping track, so i'm just gonna start writing, and see what words fall out.
I was thinking about the things i want for the house that i hope we will be able to find and afford for next year. i'm gonna go through it one room at a time. I know it will be boring to those reading, so i'm sorry ahead of time. Read ahead if you want, or look for some kind of mark for the next section if you're interested in everything else but wanna skip this. I'll be sure to make it clear where the rest will be.
LIVING ROOM - Definently want new seating. Probably a new couch and loveseat, or at least a couch with the chase lounge on the end (right side of the couch) With the chase lounge (i know i'm spellign it wrong, but i don't wanna look it up right now, lol) we could get rid of the loveseat (since we don't REALLY use it all that much) and still have pretty much the same amount of seating in the living room. And with that too we'd be able to actually get to the bookshelf on the wall that the loveseat is up against. Get the speaker wire ran so we have the surround sound again (which i miss playing games and stuff with it). Then get some better organizational baskets for the stuff on the shelves of the entertainment center, so it all matches. For the fireplace, i wanna get a wood rack and a good set of fireplace tools. I also wanna put a shelf over the fireplace, like a mantle, if i can make it work, so we could set some pictures or something like that on it. Just have to see about that though.
DINING ROOM (game room) I wanna get some better storage solutions for the stuff under the table. Between terrain, and models, and other papers and stuff, it's hard to find things down there. And make it more sturdy so when the girls, or the animals, get their feet all over it, we wouldn't have to worry so much about something getting broken. I know it's irritating to deal with that kind of thing. I wanna get some better table coverings so that we can use it for more stuff, cause it's a good table with the bar stools up there and all. I wanna put a shelf up over the end of the table for models that he wants to leave out but doesn't want the kids or animals getting up and around.
KITCHEN - I'm gonna get an entirely new set of pots and pans, and utencils, and baking stuffs. I can't wait for that. having the sizes for certain designs of cake stuff i want will be nice. And having pots and pans that aren't falling apart, or that aren't NONSTICK anymore, etc, will be wonderful. Then i wanna get some stuff to organize under the cabinents better. Maybe a rack for the pots and pans, or some way to hang them so they are always within reach, or at least store them better under the counter. I wanna organize the pantry better too. I've got SOME stuff in there that helps, but it's still not great. So yea. Mainly organization stuff in there.
IVY'S BEDROOM - Eventually i wanna get her a loft bed, so her bed is up off the floor and we can use underneath it for organizing her toys better. A good twin size loft bed would be perfect to put the 3/3 square shelves (probably two of them) with the square bins in them for their toys. Then i wanna get another one to make a dresser out of for her closet. That way everything has it's own little drawyer, and she would always know where everything went. Then i wanna get her a better desk to do her homework on, so it's always ready for her. And then i wanna get some pet nets, or something better for the storage of her stuffed animals, since she has a BILLION of them. And then just reorganize everything in there so that the dog can't get in the window as much, and everything has it's place. ETC. And then eventually, proably SOON, i'd like Desiree's bed to be moved in there too. So i've gotta get things better organized.
RUBEN AND I'S BEDROOM - I wanna get a better dresser. Not that the one we have isn't GREAT, it's just not what we need. The drawers are falling apart, there isn't enough space for everything, etc. Then i wanna get some other stuff for organizing the closet. What we have WORKS, but it would be great if it worked WELL. I'm betting that's gonna be my first big adventure when i get to start spending the money i wanna spend. After i get everything washed up and clean (since i swear the WALL of laundry i have in there seems to get bigger instead of smaller with each load i do, lol) i'm gonna get some MUCH better storage for the clothes. Then i'm gonna pare them down so i can donate the stuff we don't wear much, since i'm sure next year we will be buying more clothes that we actually like a lot. :)
BATHROOMS - Gonna get some stuff for better storage under the sinks, and some stuff to stack the toilet paper on in the little bathroom, and a book or magazine rack for the stuff Ruben and I read in there. The big bathroom i'm gonna get a hanging rack or two for the soaps and shampoos and stuff like that, so we know where it is all the time. Pretty simple straightforward stuff there.
Then there are little PARTS of rooms that are gonna be worked on. The hallway closet (not the front one, but the one by the big bathroom) is gonna be cleaned out and used for arts and crafts storage for the paperwork and jewelry and stuff that i plan on working on a lot next year. And then the sewing machine and desk are gonna be set up and ready so i can start sewing stuff. gots lots of ideas for that stuff.
Then of course is the stuff we are gonna start doing OUTSIDE the house. Gonna take a trip to Grapevine Texas, and hit legoland, great wolf lodge, and the Games Workshop store (for Ruben). We are gonna hit a different resturant at least once a month, and visit a new place in the city at least once a month. We've lived up here for a while now, and haven't seen or been to most of the city. So that will be nice. Then we are gonna get season passes to white water, frontier city, the science museum, and the zoo, so we can go whenever we wanna. Then i'm gonna look into putting Desiree in Tumbling, and Ivy into dance. Ivy's already talking about taking dance with Mr. Dennis at the school. I hope it works out. Just have to see what happens i guess. And then i'm wanting to take some more cake decorating classes. And of course there is the matter of the two cars that both don't run well (one not at all). The grand am needs the spark plugs replaced, and oil changes, and all that jazz, etc, etc, etc. And the Tibouron needs a new water pump (probably, although we have a few different things that we are gonna try first and see what happens) I seriously can't wait for the chance to get out and about and do new things and not be stuck in the house all summer because the car doesn't have AC. That will definently be wonderful.

Ok, so here's where it might get interesting. If you've even stuck around long enough to give a shit. The end of the year should HOPEFULLY go by as quickly as summer did. Ivy starts school Thursday, Desiree's birthday is the 18th, Ivy's birthday is Sept 5th, which is also labor day, October is, of course, Halloween. November holds Daylight savings time, and thanksgiving. December has Winter Break, and christmas, and new years. Then is new years day, and my birthday. And HOPEFULLY by then we will have the income tax return, and a chance to get things started. Just have to see what happens and how much we will have left, cause if nothing else, i want to be sure to get the season passes and everything taken care of.
And last, but not least, i can't wait for the trips to Arkansas we are gonna be able to make. I miss my people, and getting to actually see them on occassion will be wonderful. seriously can't wait.
This morning, up at the school, was actually nice. I was so anxious about it (which i almost always am when it comes to stuff like that. ) But it was nice. The office staff rememberred us, the teachers did too. The greatest thing that still hit me HARD was Mrs Chandler, who stepped out of her classroom to give Ivy a hug and tell her that she still had the gift from Ivy up in her classroom :) That made my eyes water. I've been SOO super emotional. We watched the season finale of Top Shot Season Two, and the top three ended up being George, Chris, and Brian (watch the show if you're interested, it's GOOD!) And George THREW AT LEAST ONE SHOT, and probably two, so that Chris had the chance to finish and win. Brian and Chris were both going to use it for their families, where George was just gonna spend it on more guns and stuff, etc. And he was sitting there talking about it, and how bad it made him feel to know if he won that he wasn't gonna use it on anything important, etc. I'm pretty sure he threw it. And it was ncie he did, becaues the guy he threw it for was the one that won! :) Yay!
Neway, i guess that's all my brain has to spill out right now. Desiree is taking a nap, ivy's playing in her room, Ruben's still asleep. So i'm gonna try to lay down and get a little nap. Gonna do Chefs salad for dinner, which is fast and easy and can be slit up as we need it. that way the girls and I can eat when we are hungry, and he can eat when he gets up, since he didn't get to bed until almost 2pm today :( So yeah, Now i AM gonna lay down, caues my head feels like it's gonna explode. LATERS!
