but i doubt i'll actually get much of it written down. It seems to go that way quite a bit as of late.
Today i had every intention of getting the house cleaned back up, but i never managed to get the motivation. Every time i'd start to get up and clean, something would distract me, or i'd start hurting again, or the kids would go crazy, or there would be a knock at the door or the phone would ring. After a while, i just kinda gave up. I just hope that Ruben doesn't get upset with me for not getting it done, cause i said something about it. Oh well, not much i can do about it now.
Right now I've got chicken and dumplings simmering on the stove. I put a can of dumplings on when i put the chicken and broth on so that they have a chance to break all the way down and create a really awesome thick broth. And then about 15 minutes before time to eat i'll add another can to create the actual dumplings. It turns out awesome that way. And it's easy, so yeah.
Pretty soon it will be time to get stuff for the fireplace and start having fires a few times a week. Today probably would have been a good night for some, but we can't afford the firewood, we don't have any, and i haven't had a chance to get the fireplace cleaned out. So maybe the next time i get paid, or Ruben gets paid, we can go buy a little bit for a good fire for teh weekend. Nights are getting super cold (of course not as cold as the dead of winter, but still cold) And tonight is going to get down below freezing for the first time this year :( Not looking forward to walking Ivy to school or driving out in it in the morning.
Tomorrow i'm going out to clean for James and Jacqui. The guy that's been living with them for the last few YEARS is finally moving out and getting his own place. He's got a big part of his stuff out, but the bedroom he was in for so long still has a lot of stuff left. So tomorrow basically i'm just going to go finish packing it up. That way when the roomie comes by, all he will have to do is pick up the last of his stuff and be out for good. And then i'm going to clean it all up really good. Wipe down the walls, and the bathtub in the bathroom. So no matter hwo long it takes to get it done, i'm going to finish it up so that he doesn't have to deal with him that long. It's pretty crazy. I know he is tired of dealing with him, and he is tired after work, so he can't do it himself. SOOO, it's gonna get taken care of by me. :) I'm honestly just glad that i can help. And it was nice today too cause i was talking to him, and he told me that he trusts me, and thats why he allows me to come out and clean even knowing that nobody is around or awake when i'm there. AND when the roommate is out and has given up his key, he's gonna give me the key :) So i will finally have my own key, so i can come out and not worry about the door being locked or anything like that.
So i'm about to finish up the chicken and dumplings, and straighten up a bit so that when he gets up it at least looks like i've done something. And then maybe i can catch a cat nap for an hour or so after we eat. Then tonight after he leaves, i need to call a friend of mine, and then crash out. And in the morning i've gotta get up, get Ivy ready to go to school, and get a few things together for me to take out to clean with, and then i will walk Ivy to school and come back and leave out early so i can get out there with enough time to talk to the homeowners before he has to leave and she has to go to work, so i know exactilly what they want done :) Gonna be pretty awesome. And give us a little extra money. Not much, but enough.
