Another year older....

And still young at heart, lol. I can't believe another year is gone already. Seems like they get faster the older you get, which i always heard, but never wanted to believe. At least my sense of humor seems to still be young at heart. I can find things to do, and things that amuse me, a lot easier now that the postpartum depression is officially gone for good. This time it lasted a bit longer, but at least we knew what it was. Now that it's gone though, i am a lot better. It's easier to accept that things go wrong, and things go right, and we don't really have a say in most of it. It's easier to look outside and, even when it's cloudy, see beauty. It's easier to keep the house clean, and to find better ways to organize things with stuff i've already got around the house. Like the fact i use an old cardboard diaper box (you know, one of the big value packs?) as my filing cabinent with just a few folders. It's easy to find a place for it, and it's easy to find things in it. The only thing that i really need to crack down on are all the clothes we have in this house. We have a mountain of clothes to sort through sitting in my living room right now (which i'm gonna work on when Ivy gets out of school). But then we also have closets full of boxes that are full of clothes. In my arts and crafts closet it is packed with totes full of clothes and shoes. I need to go through it all and see what we will actually use and what we can get rid of. I am sure there are a ton of items we can get rid of, that either don't fit, or that we just don't need. I just hope i can find the energy to get it done soon. I'm kinda tired of having all this space, and not being able to use it because it's packed with boxes full of crap we don't use.

That, and there are a few things i need to find that i KNOW are here, but i have no idea where. I need to find the girls social security cards again (i had them not long ago, and then i put them up and havne't seen them since, but i know they are here) and there is a 16G SD card that i'm gonna use in my camera, as soon as i find it, lol. I'm pretty sure i know where it is though. I'm betting it's on the loveseat somewhere. That's where most of the stuff we came home with this last week ended up.

Speaking of this last week, it's been CRAZY. We got our income tax last monday. And immediately started spending it. That night we went out and got Ruben his Asus Tablet (which i must admit, is totally worth the money) and my new camera (which is AWESOME) His asus tablet is a touch screen that has a camera and games and all kinds of cool stuff on it. He's bought quite a few games for it, so he's always got something to play. And my new Camera is a Nikon Coolpix S6100. It has a 7x wide zoom, is 16 MP, has a touchscreen with all kinds of settings, and best of all, it works GREAT in low light. Then the rest of the week we hit one store after another to pick up things we needed. I got some storage stuff, we got some new clothes, got new shoes, Ruben got a new awesome leather coat, then we went out and did stuff out too. Went to pinkitzel (which, if you've never been, check it out when you come to OKC) and bought a few things, had some cupcakes, and got almost 2 full pounds of salt water taffy! AWESOME. Then for my birthday Ruben bought me a watercolor set, complete with new paintbrushes, 15 page watercolor paper pad, and an awesome set of watercolor tubes. I've started a sunset painting, which i will hopefully be able to finish in the next couple days. It is awesome.

Sunday we went to see Disney live at the Cox convention center. It was three disney plays in one 2 hour show. It had Snow White, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast. And had Mickey, Miney, Goofy, and Donald as the hosts. It was awesomely cute. The girls had a blast, and Ruben and I did too. I can't complain. The tickets were free anyway, lol. My sis in law won them at her job and she doesn't have kids or anything like that, so she gave them to us. AWESOME!

Ruben took Sunday and Monday nights off, so we got an extra two nights sleep next to each other. But last night he didn't have anybody to come over and hang out and keep him awake, so i stayed up to keep him company. Although i stayed up quite a bit later than either of us meant for me to. I think i was up until 3:30. OY! I can tell too. I did get to sleep a bit longer this morning, cause Ruben let me sleep from about 9:30 -12:00, but it wasn't enough, and i'm still feeling very very tired. So MAYBE i can catch another nap here in a bit when ivy is home and can watch Desiree. I guess we will see though. Either way, i have to tackle this mountain of laundry sometime today. At least i'm just doing canned ravioli for dinner tonight. I don't think i'd feel like cooking anyway.

So yeah, i'm outta here. I think i've rambled enough. LATERS
