8/30 - Passions

What are 5 passions you have?

1 - My family and friends. - They are what drives most of what I do.  The reasons I get up in the morning even on days I just want to sleep all day.  They make me smile, make me laugh, make me cry, and make me better.  They drive me to be the best I can be, but don't judge me when I can't be anything more than what I am.  I will fight for them if they need fighting for.  They are my everything.

2 - Music -  I love listening to music, writing music, singing, playing the violin, playing the piano.  You name it, I love anything music.  And all kinds of music too.  Classical to pop to rap, i've listened to it all.  There is always a song for any mood, and I often find songs say what i need to say better than anything i can come up with.

3 - Photography - This is the fastest way to make a memory.  You can capture a moment, and keep it forever.  Sometimes they are sad, like pics of family at a funeral.  Sometimes they are happy, like pictures at a wedding, or graduation, or something like that.  Sometimes they capture the persons personality.  A pictures can make you smile when you remember the moment it was taken.  It can help when you miss someone like crazy.  I have a picture wall (literally, the entire section of wall) where i put all my favorite pictures.  Pics of friends and family, places i love, and moments i've captured.  It's my favorite thing in my entire house

4 - Baking - I'm not good at it, and don't have time for it very often.  But i love baking.  Cookies, cakes, bread, etc.  And i love decorating what i make.  It's a way to be creative, AND make something that people will love to eat.  Two awesome things in one. :)

5 - Walking - I know this might seem a bit mundane, but i am passionate about walking.  I love to take the girls to the water canal and go for a walk, feed the ducks, and enjoy the fresh air.  And i love walking around the zoo.  Walking helps me stay fit because it's really the only thing i can do no matter what.  I can't run, so I walk instead.  We have walked as much as 5-10 miles in a single morning some mornings.  In the summer, weather permitting, we go for super early morning walks downtown on Saturday mornings.  It lets us experience the city at a time when nobody else is around.  I love walking, and i will continue to do it until i physically can't anymore.  And i pray that's a long time away.

I am thankful for having passions in the first place.  Without them, life would be crazy boring.
