So what wednesday + 23/30 Hobbies

So What Wednesday

So what if I have an opinion about religion and politics that people don't agree with? - I don't force them down your throat.  I just wish the rest of the world had the same courtesy.

So what if my daughters bedroom is a cluttered mess? - I mean, they are just gonna mess it up again within minutes of it being clean, right?? As long as it's clean every now and then, and for important visits.

So what if I don't always get around to everything on my to do list?

So what if I have big dreams about things I will probably never be able to do - Like going back to college to get a degree in Culinary arts, or photography.  Like being a singer, even if it's just once.

So what if I'm obsessed with reality TV?

So what if I say it like it is, even if it hurts your feelings - because I believe that the truth is better than a white lie any day, and if you can't take the truth you don't deserve it.

So what if I put on a strong face for my family and friends and the rest of the world and cry in the dark?  - There are so many people that have it way worse than me.  My problems are nothing compared to that.  And while they are important to ME, nobody needs to listen to me whine.

So what if I worry about even a few dollars when it comes to my budget?  Because those few dollars can turn into a lot more if left unchecked.  I just hope to be able to actually catch up some day.  And I just wish I could do more to help right now.

23/30 - List your top 5 hobbies and why you love them.

1 - Writing poetry.  - Even if the rest of the world never sees them, it's a way for me to put how I'm feeling down on paper and let it go.  There are a lot of things that, if i didn't get them out, would cause more damage than good.  Holding things in never led to anything good in my life.  So I write it out.  Sometimes I share it, sometimes I don't.  But that's a great release.

2 - Reading - Reading opens up a world of imagination.  While most of the things I prefer to read are fiction, it's always fun to sit and think about what I've been reading.  Currently I'm reading "Wicked.  The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West".  And I just finished reading The Hunger Games trilogy.  Great books, and a great escape from reality when things go a bit crazy.

3 - Painting and drawing - I may not be able to do it as often, with my hands shaking as bad as they have been recently.  But even sitting and sketching are great ways to express myself.

4 - Singing.  - I never really sang "professionally", if you will.  No choir (other than 6th grade for a few months) or group singing.  There are always songs to describe how I'm feeling at any given moment.  They bring up memories, and make me laugh, or cry.  And I love singing to my girls too.  It's an easier way to show them how i'm feeling sometimes than trying to find the words myself.

and last but not least
5 - crafting - There are a lot of different crafts.  Organization hidden in cute crafts.  Purses, and clothes, and toys, and all kinds of things like that.  Jewlery, paper bracelets, paper stars, etc.  Just anything to help keep my hands busy when I have a lot of anxiety and stuff like that.  It's a great release, and it brings more beauty to the world.

And I just had a cute moment.
I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance, and there are a pair of friends in the top 20 with the same names as my sis and I.  Mind you, the girl with my name spelled it differently, but still. Whitney and Lindsay.  How freaking awesome is that?  lol.
