Mom challenge

I just found the greatest idea.  Little background first though:

I've never been great at including both girls in play, and actually getting involved with them.  I've always been content to sit and watch them play, but always had a hard time getting up and playing too.  This challenge, which is being called "30 for 30" is going to change that.

The basic idea is to spend 30 minutes FULLY ENGAGED in playtime with your kids.

Not sitting on the sidelines.  Not writing, talking on the phone, or talking with someone else.  But actually ENGAGED in the play.  Get your hands dirty playing in the sand.  Slide down the slide with them a few times.  Actually swing together.... etc.  Basically, stop WATCHING them play, and actually start PLAYING.

Now with it being summer, and my legs being a pain in the butt if i try to do too much, i'm gonna have to get creative. Any low impact play ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.  Can't walk a lot.  Stairs are totally out (so most playgrounds are really hard for me).

I think i'm gonna brainstorm some ideas before we officially get started.  Maybe start Friday, and devote a full 30 minutes for 30 days.  And i'll write about what we did, and how the girls enjoyed it, once we do get started.  :)  Help keep me motivated, k guys?  Cause when I'm hurting (and i'll never try to deny this) but i lose all motivation and become pretty grumpy.  And i want to be sure that they know i'm willing to put that all aside for them.  They need a mom that's fully involved with them, even if it is only for 30 minutes, ya know?

SOOO, hit me up with any ideas.

LATERS!
