Thankful Thursday

Today I'm gonna do Thankful Thursday.  Might turn into an every Thursday thing, or might just be every now and then.  But today, this is what's been on my mind.

Today I am thankful for the fact my husband has such a great job.  It may not be the PERFECT job for him, but it pays the bills and he doesn't hate it.  And in the end, that's what matters most.  Until he can FIND that perfect job, this one works just fine. :)

Today I am thankful for my two beautiful daughters.  They light up my life in so many ways.  I can't even begin to express how much they mean to me.  Today we KINDA started the 30 for 30.  It wasn't really PLAY, but I did spend a good 30 minutes completely paying attention to them.  Took some addorable pictures of them in the matching outfits my mom gave them.  And then they got to come with me to the store and we got them some treats there.  :)  Not really what that was, but a good start when we haven't really even been doing THAT for a long time now.

Today I am thankful for my friends, both local and far away.  For the ones that make me laugh.  For the ones I can talk to about anything.  The ones who are there for me, even if it's out of sight.  The ones who have this uncanny abillity to know when I need them most, and to show up out of the blue to make me smile again.  The ones who can send me a smile, via chat or IM, and I know they were thinking of me too.  The ones I don't see for MONTHS or even YEARS, and we can sit and talk like we've seen each other every day.  I miss them so much sometimes, but I know they will always be there for me.  And that means the world to me. 

Today I am thankful for the roof over my head, and for the office staff here in our complex.  No matter how crazy things get, they always seem to be understanding (at least for office employees).  And they do whatever they can to help.  (and something kinda off the subject.  But it's nice to know that we aren't the only ones that have had to set up payment arrangements around here.  They delivered the notices today, and I saw that he had a pretty decent stack in his hands. Don't feel as bad now).  But when you start talking to them about what's going on, they will do whatever they can to make sure things are taken care of in a timely manner. 

Today I am thankful for Central Air conditioning.  For the ability to set it on a number and it cool the apartment, and not run our electricity bill through the roof.  When the heat of the day hits, we are still cool.  And after living for a couple years with nothing but window units, it's a welcome change.

There are other things i'm thankful for.  i just can't remember most of them right now, lol.  Anyway, I need to get off here and finish dinner.  Gonna crank up the music and get it done.  LATERS!
