As we creep ever closer to the end of the year.....

the world seems a little brighter. 

The end of the year is always super super busy, and this year is no different.  But it is totally awesome right now.  We got that fax saying that we had that 152 left on the garnishment, but when he got his check it still had the full amount taken out.  SOO, his boss made a few calls and found out that the accounting office had the same numbers that I had, which would have been a full amount, and then a partial.  And then they never got the fax saying we only owed the partial.  She faxed them a copy, and they cut us a refund check for the overage.  Know what that means ladies and gentlemen?

THE GARNISHMENT IS FINALLY AND OFFICIALLY OVER!!!

I swear, I almost jumped up and down when I got the official notice, haha.  Seriously though, it's pretty damn awesome right now.  I have been in an awesome mood ever since, haha. 

SO Thursday the girls and I went costume hunting.  And they've got some cute ideas that I've just gotta flesh out.  I'm apparently going to be a witch and Ivy is going to be my black cat (yep, Ivy's idea) lol.  So yeah.  And then Desi decided she wanted to be a cowgirl.  We got the cat mask and tail taken care of, but I think I'm gonna make Ivy a cute little black tutu to wear.  And Desi's hat is taken care of.  She's gonna wear her jeans, with a cute horse shirt, and a cute cowgirl hat that we picked up at the dollar tree and decorated with some scrapbooking stickers from hobby lobby, lol.  We are going to see about maybe giving her a little belt with some rope and a water gun on it to complete it.  Gonna be super cute I'm sure.  I'm just gonna pick up a hat and maybe make me a black tutu to wear too, lol.  Guess we will see on that one.

Yesterday we went out and did a few things with the girls.  We went to pumpkinville at the myriad gardens. Got to make some salt dough pumpkins and decorate them up.  Then we walked over to the library and got our library cards - FINALLY, lol.  We've lived here off and on for the last 10 years and never made it to the library.  It'll be nice too, because there are libraries EVERYWHERE up here, lol.  So we are probably going to hit the library once a week for a while during the winter months. 

 And that's gonna be a good thing for another reason too.  Ivy has been having trouble with the reading comprehension at school - SOOO, what I'm gonna do is go through her books that she checks out and write up some questions for her to answer for me about them.  Chapter books, so she can do one page of questions per chapter.  Should be able to help her out a lot with that.  And I got Desi a couple too.  And of course me, lol.  Found a book that's part of a series, which I have always loved to read.  And then, as we were on the way up to the check out desk, i glanced over and saw CLOVER!  The manga graphic novel.  If you haven't read it yet, it's pretty awesome (mostly girl chick type stuff, but guys might like it too, haha.)  That is AWESOME to me because Ruben bought me a couple of them a while back and I fell in love, but haven't been able to find the rest of them. :)

Anyway, I've gotta get in there sometime soon and get the questions ready for Ivy to do.  I hate seeing her struggle so much.  She is GREAT at math and science, but seems to have trouble with spelling and reading.  Which I find kinda funny, because Reading was always something that I loved and was actually pretty good at.  Well, as good as I was at anything else.  I had trouble in school, so it was kinda hard, but that's something that I learned to take care of.  I'm hopeing to be able to help Ivy.  We've been doing good with her spelling, having her write the words quite a bit during the week, and it seems to be helping. So hopefully this reading stuff will help too. :)

Today we are gonna go try to finish up costumes.  Gonna get something to celebrate the ending of the garnishment (although I have no idea what, lol) and just spend some more time together.  It's been an awesome few days, and I'm feeling pretty good, although I am physically exhausted, lol.  Very sore for doing entirely too much the last few days, haha.  TOTALLY WORTH IT!  Just saying, lol.

For now, I'm gonna watch some more of the most recently added season of Glee and wait for painkiller to kick in, so I can move, lol.  Then I'm gonna wake Ruben up and get out and go do something.  I have so much energy right now, lol.  :)
