And winter at all for that matter. So far, we've had a pretty warm winter. Average temps tended towards the low to mid 50s (don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT, but I just wonder what the REST of winter has in store when the start is so warm - cause history shows that a warm start = DANG IT'S COLD AND THERE'S A BLIZZARD sometimes. lol) So we've spent as much time as we can out and about, but I'm honestly ready for a REASON to stay inside and have a fire going.
But anyway, back to the reason for the post:
This year has been dang crazy. Fighting with the garnishment quite a bit longer than we expected. Dealing with the onset of the horrible annoyance that is my physical problems (I'm not giving it an actual name in this post because we just aren't sure) and all the fun that's followed with that. And all the little things that have come up around it all. We clawed our way through it, and came out the other side a little worse for wear, but stronger. Ready for a little peace though, for dang sure, lol.
This past Friday through Tuesday was super busy. I'm pretty sure I wrote about all the crap that went down, so I'll just say I WAS EXHAUSTED. I actually pushed myself to the point of getting sick. Darn headcold!!! lol. But through it all, I've tried to stay positive and look at the good things in my life. If nothing else, all the bad things that have happened (Namely the school shooting Friday) have reminded me that we aren't guarenteed ANYTHING, and we need to make the msot of every single moment. So today, I cuddled with both my girls. We watched movies, had hot chocolate, and sat by the fire and read stories. It was peaceful, and I hope they realize how much it meant to me. :)
Tomorrow, my mother in law and I are going over to the Masters Market pretty early in the morning. Wanting to get there about 9:00 so we can get in line. Sometimes they do extra gifts, but what I really need is the food, since it's the end of the month and we spent every single penny we had on the gifts under the tree and didn't leave anything for the end of the month food budget. My fault, but it will so be worth it Christmas morning when i see everyones faces. :) So we are gonna go over and do that, and HOPEFULLY it won't take THAT long. Then I'm coming home and don't NOTHING but spending time with my loves. The Saturday I'm going over to get a christmas food basket from the Elks Lodge and letting the girls do some of the other stuff they have going on. Sunday is Laundry, as always. Then I think that night we are gonna do a single gift for the girls (And I'm pretty sure I know which ones I want all of us to open, if Ruben is ok with it) Then monday is Christmas eve, and then YAY! It's Christmas, lol.
And that is all, of course, dependant on the end of the world not coming tomorrow ;) lol. I'm sorry, but that's just funny. If it happens, then it happens. But I have all the faith in the world that we will still be here. I may not be all that religious (spiritual, yes.) but the bible, and a lot of higher powers, say that no man will know the day the world is coming to an end. So yeah. And we've only thought this was gonna happen how many times? I can recall quite a few, lol.
Anyway, I know I'm ready for this year to be over. Ready for the things we have planned for next year (although, knowing our lives, we won't get to do as many of them as we'd like) The biggies are definently going to happen no matter what. And HOPEFULLY I can pick up a few houses and we can save up for things throughout the year with that. I know one things for sure: I cannot wait to get to take a trip to Arkansas to see my peoples again. And I can't wait for Spring break and the chance to have a week without the kids to enjoy the city as adults, lol. ;)
