It hasn't been all bad. Actually, it's been pretty good, all things considered. Just ended on a kinda crappy note yesterday. But that's life right?
Thursday I went to help Brita organize and clean on base to get ready for their big move to Alaska. I know one thing: I'm gonna miss them when they are gone, heh. She's become more of a friend now than I ever expected her to become. We did that at one so I could drop the girls off and really focus. And put in 3 good hours work out there. Then went and got the girls, got something for dinner, and came home. Not a bad day - other than the heat. The heat hates me and I swear it tried to kill me ;) lol. Not really, but UGH!
Friday we were home all day cause it was super hot outside. SOOO, i spent the entire afternoon deep cleaning my bedroom. Now, it's not anywhere near DONE, but I did make a HUGE dent in it. I actually found the floor in the entire room! Which I haven't been able to see for MONTHS now (mostly because of totes of clothes and misc stuff that needed sorting through, and a HUGE pile of clothes in and around my big comfy chair) Now, it's seriously awesome looking! HOPEFULLY I'll feel up to cleaning on it some more either this week, or this weekend. I WILL GET IT FINISHED BEFORE THE END OF SUMMER BREAK! Period, haha.
Saturday we got up and went out to James house. Ruben was dropping off some Dredd models for him that he's gonna use at Soonercon next weekend and I was cleaning his kitchen. And then we sat around and talked for a bit. It was really actually really nice to just get to sit around and chat for a bit.
And that's when it went a bit sour:
We went looking for a game store up in North OKC that we don't go to very often so we have NO CLUE where it's at, haha. And in the process we had to get on the interstate. The car HATES the interstate right now, so we just avoid it at all costs. I went all of two exits (not merges onto interstates becase there were a couple of those) We drove MAYBE half a mile on the interstate. But aparently that was all the car needed to start throwing a fit. I have no clue what's wrong with it - but it makes a HORRIBLE noise as you're speeding up, and only stops once it's shifted into third gear. Yeah, no clue. I'm going to have my Father In law, or brother in law, look at it for me while I'm over there getting laundry.
And this is where I need your prayers.
PLEASE pray that we make it over there without any real issues. That I won't need to call to have someone come save us because the car is broken down. I don't think it will, but I'm always super cautious with the car -especially when it's just the girls and I, ya know? Especially when it's super hot. SOO, I'm making sure we have a good, cold water bottle with us. Gonna make sure the cell phone is charged up. And gonna pretty much drive straight there, because I just don't wanna risk it. Either way, I know we will be fine. Just making sure, ya know?
So anyway, I'm gonna get off here and get some stuff done so we can leave in time. Wanna get out the door as close to noon as possible. LATERS!
