Busy bee

Yep, that's me right now.

But that's ok, cause it's totally worth it.

Family is in town, and that makes me happy.

Yeah, we don't always see eye to eye.  Mostly on the whole religious front.  But we are civil, and that's what matters.  I listen to what they have to say, and they don't push me to do anything I don't want to do.  So all in all it's not a bad thing.  We make it work, and that's what really matters right?

Today we didn't get to do TOO much.  Mostly because of the weather, but we kinda knew it was gonna be that way, heh.  Stupid weather not making up it's mind to be COLD until just before they come up.  Cause when they made the plans it was supposed to be warmer so we could do stuff outside. But whatever.  We are still gonna have an awesome time.

The water heater at the in-laws house busted, so I had to do laundry somewhere else.  SOO, I ended up doing it at the Hampton in Guest Laundry.  Not a horrible thing.  The prices are good ($1 a piece to wash and dry - even if I had to run the dryer twice for one load cause of the towels).  Could have been way worse.  We were hanging out up there anyway, so it didn't take away from anything. 

The family got into town about 1ish, and we met at the hotel just after they got to town.  :)  We hung out in the hotel room for a few, and then they unloaded the car, and I started my load of laundry, and then the guys showed up.  Not bad, considering they started their trip a few hours behind mom and sis.  Then we went to eat, hit walmart, and came back.  Then my dad and Nick took the girls swimming, mom kept the baby upstairs, and whit and I sat down by the pool and talked for a while.  It was nice. :)

Gonna meet them in the morning about 9:00.  Do breakfast at the hotel, and then we are gonna go shopping I think.  Probably take them up to Quail Springs Mall.  Crossroads is dead, Penn Square is a bit stuck up, the shoppe are too darn cold since it's open air, so Quail Springs is really the only other place to hit.  But that's ok, cause it's not hard to get to, and it's got some pretty good stores in it.  One of my favorites is up there - Earthbound. :)  Makes me happy, cause it's a lot like Romancing The Stone, which I LOVE.  So that made me happy.  And there are a few other things going on up there too, so it'll be good. 

Then they'd mentioned going bowling, and maybe going to see frozen before they leave.  Not entirely sure what else we will do, but It's nice to get to just hang out with family when you don't get to see them but twice a year.  And it's nice right now cause they are all on vacation for the holidays, and I am keeping the girls out of school, so we will have all kinds of time to hang out. :)  YAY!

Only thing that I don't like about this week is the fact that Ruben isn't really going to get to hang out with us at all.  He has to work all week, so he will have to stay home and sleep.  Unless he can go to bed EARLY, and wake up early enough to do dinner with us, he probably won't get to spend much time with them at all.  And that kinda sucks.  Although, I don't think it's going to bother him all that much.  My family kinda bores him sometiems, haha. (Which doesn't say much, cause his family bores me sometimes too, lol).  Gotta love in-laws huh?  But again, it could all be worse.  Guess we will see what happens huh?

For now, I'm gonna curl up in bed with my big giant bear, in my comfy clothes, and try to get some sleep.  Been a long day, and my brain is racing, so not sure if it'll happen without taking a sleep aid, but I guess I'll find out huh? heh.
