Ivy had her first day of Kindergarden today. It was really really weird to have her gone all day, but at the same time i know it's going to end up being a really good thing. It will allow me time to get things done around the house. It will allow me to get to spend time with Desiree, and eventually to get out to go do things with her that i wouldn't be able to do otherwise. It will be nice to get to spend some time with the little one. I didn't really get to spend that much time with Ivy when she was little, so i guess i'm just trying to make up for lost time.
I know i'm going to try to take her to the zoo someday soon once it starts to cool off a bit. I know i want to take her to some other things too once she can learn to walk and she can play on things at the parks and playplaces. I am going to try to get some good pics of her soon for her first birthday. I think i've got a few ideas about places to take some good shots, it's just a matter of getting out and getting them done. With it supposed to be as hot as it is, it's going to have to either be super early before it hits the heat of the day, or it's going to have to be an inside shoot. I haven't decided exactilly which i want to go do really. Guess it is just going to be an impromptu thing. I know i've got a few good ideas about what she can wear in them too. I'm going to see if i can't get Jaqui to take some good shots of her too sometime soon. Just have to find some times to get together. Maybe i can do that next week. That and my sister is wanting to take some shots of her around her 1st, so maybe we can figure out either how to get her up here for a day trip, or for us to get down there for a day trip. I don't know, just have to figure it out somehow. Maybe on a friday or saturday or something we can figure it out. If nothing else i know we are giong to have to be down there sometime in october, so maybe she can take a shoot then. Just have to wait and see what happens.
I went and got a lot of the things i am going to need for Desiree's birthday. We have the cupcake mix and the pooh bear cups to put them in, the cupcake icing. We also got her birthday presents, which are freaking cute as hell. Daddy got her an Eeyore stuffed animal, which is super freaking cute. I got her a little blankie with a super soft dolls head. Basically i got her her first security blanket. I think it's going to be really good for her. I think she will like it. And i got a few things to decorate the house with too. I got her a little thing to go around her high chair that says 1st birthday with pooh bear all around the edges. It's gonna be awesome. So it's going to be really really cute. I'm ready for it to be honest.
Then on top of it all i've got a lot of plans for Ivy's birthday. Going to get her a pinatta and some good candy. Going to get her some Mickey stuffs which is what she wants. Going to get a lot of stuff from the dollar tree so we can do a good party. I think i'm going to save some money by making her cake myself. I know i can get some cute stuff to decorate her cake with. Probably make two cakes and stack them. They have icing that you can get with some different tips to do some really pretty designs. I know i've got a few good patterns that i can do for her. Hopefully i can pull it out of the bag because i want it to be freaking awesome. We shall see though. I know i'm going to get some party favors for all the kids that come, and i'm going to get some good decorations and streamers and stuff like that. Any ideas would be awesome. Just going to see what i can come up with that won't cost me so freaking much. That's the biggest things.
I need to get of my butt and get the living room cleaned back up, and try to pick up at least one other room today. It shouldn't take too long to get it done, just a matter of getting off my butt and getting it done, which sometimes is easier said than done, lol.
