Thankful

I heard of something that totally made me thankful for the things that i have. A friend of mine in arkansas just lost everything she owns in a housefire. EVERYTHING. She's got a daughter who is just over a year old, and they have nothing but the clothes on their backs. It's devastating. I can't even imagine. Luckily nobody was injured, but they are having to start over, completely. I'm going to go looking through the things that i have and see what i can come up with for her so i can send it down her way soon. I don't know how much i will be able to do, but right now anything helps, for sure. It's just going to be one of those things where they are going to have to work to get it all back. So i'm going to go through the garage over at my in-laws house today while i'm over there doing laundry and i'm going to see what i can come up with to send her way. Depending on how much i can find i might be able to send it to them for relatively cheap. If i can, then i might borrow a few bucks from either my sis in law or someone else and see if i can get it to them because i know for sure that they need it ASAP. I know i've got some stuff in my closet too, so maybe i can be of some help for them soon. I don't know, just have to wait and see.

I know i can send quite a bit in the flat rate boxes from the post office for pretty cheap. The small box can hold up to 70lbs for only 5 bucks, so if i can find some stuff that would fit in one of those boxes, i might just have to do that. If not, i'll set back some so that when Ruben gets paid again i can send one of the bigger boxes which is just 11 bucks, so that's not bad either. Just have to wait and see what i can come up with, you know?

Anyway, i need to get off the computer and try to get Ruben to go to bed, try to find something to eat, and start getting ready to head to the in-laws house, a little early hopefully, so i can get all the laundry done, and dig through the garage a bit. So yeah, gonna try to do that soon, so i'm outta here for a while.
