making ends meet

Right now i swear i'm having to call in every favor i've got. From friends that owe me money, to others who offered help, to yet others who heard of the situation and are wanting to make the situation easier, it's wonderful to have so much support. Things aren't exactilly working out great, but at least they are starting to come closer to making the ends meet.

The person who was going to help Ruben with his prescription isn't gonna be able to help. She had a family emergency of her own and had to leave town. It's been pretty crazy around here for everyone. I just hope that her brother in law or whoever it is isn't in too serious of condition and can make it out the other side.

I feel so blessed that things have worked out in some way shape or form for the last year. It's hard to believe that it's almost been a year since the car accident. So much has happened, that at times it feels like so much longer, but at other times, i swear it still feels like yesterday. ANd with us still fighting the insurance company, it just keeps dragging along. I'm not expecting anything anytime soon. Especially at the pace they are going now. But i just know that we better get something out of this bullshit when it's all said and done. It's exausting to have to keep dealing with all of this shit.

I need to give the lawyers office a call and find out what the next step is, and when they think it's gonna happen. I know i signed the form giving them the power to make all the decisions, but it would be nice to still be kept in the loop a little. Even a call a month from them would be nice. Just to let us know that our case is still being worked on, ya know? But alas, it's not happenign that way, so we just sit and wait impatiently

Today we had the pest control guys come in. We are wanting to knock this shit out, so i went ahead and cleaned out all the cabinents so they could spray it all down for us. Here in just under an hour i can get in there and start getting things put back into the cabinents. i know it's gonna take a while to get it all put up, but at least it is a good step in the right direction of getting everything to go away. That's one of the darn good things about living in an apartment. They take care of all of that for us, lol. And they were doing the check on the air conditioner filter, and smoke detector today too, and checking to make sure there weren't any leaking faucets or anything like that too. Which is awesome. That's all the stuff that as a homeowner, and most times as a renter at a house, that you're responsible for. That's no fun at all, to say the least.

Today is a really nice day. A little warmer than i'd LIKE it to be, but i'm just glad that it's getting to be that fall weather i love so much. The rest of the week is going to be beautiful, as long as it stays where the forcast says it's gonna this week. Tomorrow through friday the highs right now are between 70 and 72. HELLS YEAH. That's my favorite temperature right there. I just hope it actually stays there. That would make me a very happy person. It would be the perfect time to open the windows, and turn the ac off. That would be great for our electric bill. Hopefully it happens. We will see i guess right?

Neway, maintenence is here replacing our thermostat, and then we will figure the rest of they day out from there. SOO laters everyone.
