change of plans i believe

Things right now are going a bit crazy. We've cussed and discussed and recussed and discussed the topics of the cars and insurance. Today we got really serious about the cars, and trying to find a REAL reason to have two seperate cars. And both of us, as hard as we tried, really couldn't think of a reason to have one. Just one car, with ruben's schedule, has done us just fine. And in case of an emergency, there are a number of thigns we can do in the middle of the night, from calling his mother, to calling 911 in case of a real emergency. We rarely go on trips separetly, and even when the girls and I go somewhere, we are rarely gone for more than a night or two, and he can get rides from friends if he needs it, or have them over which is what he usually does. And if we only focused on the one car it would save us a considerable amount. We were planning on paying 1500 for the car, and then the tax title and tag, and then upwards of 3000 on another new car, plus tag title and tax. All in all we were creaping upwards of 5000 dollars. With our return only planning on being around 7000, that leaves very little for the tons of other things we were planning on doing. If we just focus on the one car, and a few little things with it, we could open up a lot more possibilities. Getting a new car that is less than 3000, plus tag title and tax, and insurance for a year, plus paying for the part of the year we used the car would put us considerably less than the 5000 we were pushing before. I just don't know what's going on to be completely honest.

Now we've decided to pay about 700 for the time we used the car, and only pay for the one cars insurance for the year. And my sister in law, i believe, is wanting to pay the remaining 800 dollars for the car so she can make it hers. So we are gonna talk to Jim about it, and see if he's up for that. I think it could work out ok. IDK.

It's just a matter of making the math work. Cause the paying the bills for a year is a bit important. And hopefully we get my medical settlement soon so we have that to help us with some of it too. That is a big deal too.

For tonight, i get to wait anxiously for Ruben to get to work and get his paycheck, and see if they got their w2s with their checks or not. I am honestly betting they didn't, since we probably would have heard about it if they did. At least he's getting his paycheck. And we will have some extra money from it. And i need to make sure to set some money back, because i'm going CRAZY not having the money to go do anything. It's been super cold, but the girls are out of school on Monday, and Michelle and I are going to try to get the girls together to go do something. Maybe Chuck E Cheese. I don't know though. If we go out there we will need to go early, cause it gets busy on days that the kids are off. I guess we will see what happens. If nothing else, we might get together at one or the others house and watch movies and let the kids play. I know they will be perfectly happy with that, haha. Have to get ahold of Michelle and find out what she's up for though.

SOO, iv'e got just over an hour before i find out if my calculations on his paycheck were right and if he got his W2 or not. And then i'm going to hopefully actually be able to crash out. the maintainence man finally got around to fixing our heater for us. It was a matter of one simple wire. So now i can leave it on, and go to bed without having to worry about anybody getting too cold, which is a great relief. And ruben won't have to worry about coming in to a super super cold house too. That's good.

Tomorrow i need to drop Ivy's report card off, pick up the rest of her makeup work, and possibly take the girls to the doctor. And all that after cashing Ruben's paycheck and running our errands. And then friday i've got to get over to the DHS and get the girls social security numbers from their case worker so i can get their soonercare forms filled out and turned back in so that they have regular doctors appoitnments and dentist appointments and stuff like that. Then i've got to actually get back in the swing of things. It's gonna be a lot of phone calls and appointments to get things made up, blah. I hate when this shit happens.

For now, i'm outta here. Gotta get the house shut back down. LATER
