Spontaneous

Yesterday we had a few things planned, and did some completely different stuff instead. It was great.

We had originally planned to go to Lake Thunderbird State Park and go swimming, but the ONLY place we found they had for swimming SUCKED. Out in the sun, small, super muddy. TOTALLY not gonna happen for the very first time we ever take the girls to the lake. And it took us FOREVER to find it. So after we saw that we sorta sat and debated with each other about rather to go to Arkadia, or to drive the 2 hours out to tenkiller. Arkadia requires all kids under like 13 to wear a "ranger approved floatation device" for them to swim there. Not that it would be HORRIBLE, but that's not the experience we wanted the girls to have. So instead, we just filled the gas tank up, grabbed some drinks, and headed out.

Now mind you, we weren't exactilly thinking about the whole day, as you will hear later. We left here about 8:30 while it was still releatively coolish outside. Seeing as how we have no AC in the car, we drove the whole way with the windows down and the air blowing through, and it was a relatively nice drive. Found a good swimming part, and went swimming. But the drive home was NOT as nice. We got in the car still wet in our swimsuits, so it wasn't bad to start, but as we dried out, and the temperature rose, it got SUPER hot. The drive home was miserable!

But all in all, it was totally worth it. The girls had a blast. Desiree keeps telling everyone that yesterday she "threw rocks in the water in the lake and made it splash BIG" lol. It was addorable. She didn't like actually going in the water, because there were some rocks right at the edge and it got her foot. SO she just stood at the top and threw rocks, or sat right where the waves would come up around her butt. It was cute, and she was in the water, so we couldn't blame her.

We got home, took showers and baths to wash off all the sweat, lake water, and sunscreen, and then we just sat around and cooled off. It was nice. Never did get a nap though, and after being up since 5am, we were all exausted (which is bad with Ruben because he has to stay up all night saturday nights so he can sleep on sundays) I crashed out early, as did the girls, and ruben had Daniel over to help him stay up. Seems to have worked cause he came to bed about 7. I just hope he sleeps all day. He definently needs it.

Today is laundry day. So here in a bit we will pack up and head over there. Gonna be hot and misserable. Damn air conditioner. Could be worse though i guess. We could be driving another 2 hours in it, haha. At least this is less than 30 minutes. And the girls will probably play out back in the swimming pool for a bit. probably gonna leave here about 12ish. Not sure. not really in the mood for doing laundry. So i gotta get the important stuff and see what else i can fit in. I really need to just suck it up and take some more over there and get it done sometime this week. Otherwise it's just not gonna get done, and i'm not gonna make my mother in law do it cause that would just be mean. SO yea.
