The last few weeks have been pretty crazy. Lots of ups and downs. Lots of two steps forward three steps back kind of things. Trying to make ends meet can sometimes be overwhelming, and i'm not even the one making the money. Keeping the house running, the kids from going insane, and the animals from killing each other is a full time job resulting in long sleepless nights and crazy busy days. Even still, i can't complain. We have a roof over our heads, food in our stomachs, and clothes on our backs, and even some extra, as long as that lasts. If it doesn't it's not the end of the world, but we are definently enjoying it while we have it. We've had things go bad so many times before it seems we realize what we have while we have it a lot more. we have a lot of things we can get rid of, if need be. not that it will be a pleasant experience, but it will make ends meet until we get our income tax. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but we shall see what happens. just taking it one day at a time, same as always.
couple nights ago i had a pretty big scare. I was getting ready for bed, had the bed all pulled back and had JUST gotten to lay down when i heard the dog and cat fighting. Usually it lasts just a second, and they split and all is quiet again, but this time they kept goign. So i got up to find them, and as soon as i opened the door they split. I didn't have a CLUE what i was gonna find. But when i came around the door, i saw a few wet spots on the couch, a broken hanger, and a few other things knocked around. The dog had a big red spot on her leg from a cut, i believe. (not sure, may have been from where the cat sprayed her) and took off into the bedroom. It was a bit dark, so i couldn't see a whole lot. I looked all around, called for Bootsie, looked under and around things, and couldn't see her, and she didn't answer. Which is very very strange. So of course, i start to freak out. I mean, i've only had that cat for more than 10 years now, and she has always answered when we call. SHe knows my voice, and has even stayed put when she was lost in our neighborhood until she heard me. So for her not to answer, i thought the worst. So i pulled out the flashlight, and started looking in the darker corners she could hide in. I FINALLY found her behind the entertainment center. She wasn't moving, wasn't answering, and when i touched her with something, she didn't move either. I FREAKED. Hit my knees and started pulling thigns out of the entertainment center, and as soon as i had cleared out from in front of her, she moved her head. I broke down and started crying, so thankful she was ok. I pulled her out and made sure she was ok. Little shaken up, but for the most part she was fine. THey have avoided each other bigtime since then, thank goodness.
Today i went and picked up an herbal supliment to help with anxiety and relaxation. Valerian Root. Took it as soon as i got it, and i can tell a major difference in the way my body and mind feel right now. Not quite sure if it's better or not, but it is a step in the right direction.
Took the girls to chuck e cheese for their birthday tokens today. Got a few things out of it, and they had a good time. It's amazing what 20 tokens each does. Wish i could afford to take them more often. THey really do have a good time.
Tonight we are doing chicken and rice for dinner, and then i think we are gonna go take a late night drive with the roads a little clear. Should make for a pretty night. Then bedtime and sleeping in. Sounds like a perfect start to the weekend. Here's hopeing it goes off as planned.
