Things to think about

And it's really a random list of crazy crap, so just bear with me.  Or don't read it.  This one I won't blame you for not reading all the way through, haha.

First of all, I'm thinking about a few friends of mine.

One of them is preggers, can't work, and because of a crazy ex, can't live with the man that she plans to marry.  She can't find a job that will work with her because of another thing that crazy ex did making it so she can only work 6-6 monday through Friday (I believe).  She just moved into a DIY house (it's a company that lets you pay very little in rent, provides all the materials, and you fix it up as the rest of your rent - except they don't seem to be doing what they are supposed to, which I'm not really surprised about, but I wasn't going to say anything because I don't have any actual experience with them) that her and her boyfriend/ fience were supposed to be fixing up together.  But because of the company screwing around with them, she is currently without heat, and the gas lines are all screwed up.  So it's just a bunch of crap.  And it really sucks cause there isn't really anything I can do to help her out right now.  We are still in a tight spot until we get our income tax return (or I find more houses to clean).  Our car is a bitch so I can't go visit and help with the house.  So yeah.  And because she's only making very very little money each month, the DHS won't help her with her health care, WHICH IS TOTAL AND COMPLETE BS if you ask me.  She got a crappy judge who stopped the exes child support payments instead of sending him to jail.  Instead, she's having to appeal it with Legal Aid as her representation.  HOPEFULLY they get it taken care of soon, cause she's desperate right now.

Another friend is dealing with the loss of a friend that was the same age as her, and the loss of an aunt.  And it is hard, because the person that was the same age was someone she loved, and had to battle cancer.  And her aunt was a very important person to her family.  It's just a bunch of crap.  And of course, she is in South Carolina, so I can't really do much to help her either.  And it sucks to be here so far away from her while she is dealing with something so devistating.

Another friend is still fighting for custody of her son.  Luckly she's got an amazing man who stepped up to be "dad" when the father wanted to be such a dick about it.  But it's just a big jumbled mess.  I just hope the courts do the right thing.  I guess we will find out, hopefully soon.

And then I'm thinking about Christmas:

There are a few things that I want, and a few things that I need.

I WANT

Business cards

A printed book of my poetry

New clothes

New shoes

I NEED

New pots and pans

A new strainer

A carpet cleaner

Storage and organization supplies

The girls need new clothes

and new shoes

new blankets

They want new toys:

I want to be able to get them a few more things too.  HOPEFULLY things will work out so we have the extra money for the holidays to afford it all.  I know I'm supposed to be cleaning a time or two on base between here and there, so maybe that will allow us the extra money for all that. And maybe I can pick up another house or two before then for the extra money too.  :)  I am seriously ready for next year.

Once we get our income tax, I'm ready to get the car completely fixed up so i can actually get out and about without having to spend crazy amounts of money to do it.  I am ready for the new TV, without the crappy ghosting.  I am ready to get to go to Frontier City, and maybe White Water.  There are a lot of things I'm looking forward to.  I just hope things keep working out so that we can get it done.

HOPEFULLY I can pick up a few regular houses on base, so that I can start bringing in some good money.  Maybe I can find enough REGULAR houses that we can make enough to report it, and FINALLY get off food stamps and stop dealing with the DHS.  I doubt that will actually happen, but I guess we will see.  I know the lady I clean for said she might have a couple more people that were looking for a cleaner.  :)

For now though, I'm gonna watch some more Netflix and wait for time to fix dinner.  Gonna do Ramen and eggs for dinner.  And MAYBE, If we can get Ruben up and around early enough, we can start, if not finish, a game of warmachine.  Just have to see what happens. :)
