You know, lately I've been working really hard to find the good things in life. There have been some crazy things going on, but there always seems to be a good side to the whole thing.
Yesterday, however, it was super difficult. And today seemed to want to follow suit.
Yesterday morning started it all, lol. Ivy had her awards ceremony yesterday morning, and asked me to come over for it. I knew she wasn't going to get anything (since the awards were perfect attendance, and honor roll - which she missed by one point!!!), but I went anyway. After it was over, and she didn't get anything, she came up to me just bawling. Completely heartbroken that she didn't get any awards. That was the very first time she hadn't gotten one, so i understand. Still, broke my heart to see her so upset. Hard to comfort her when she's like that too.
Then after school I went over to get her, and we couldn't find her. She wasn't sitting with her class, so I went inside to see where she might be. They did an all-call, and she still didn't show. So we went looking through the halls. And she wasn't there either. So they did another all call, we called other parents, and even called her teacher in her classroom to come help us look. Turns out that she was probably hiding behind the bush when I went inside and I just didn't see her and she didn't see me. Then after waiting for a bit she walked home to see if I was there (which of couse I wasn't) so she walked back. When they finally found her she was still hiding behind the bush crying because she was scared. And I was terrified. So yeah, once we got THAT sorted out, we went home and started getting into costume.
We'd had all these perfectly laid out plans that went to crap after that. We were supposed to come straight home and get into costume, and then go up and see Amanda at the Hampton before 5. Once we were all dressed up, it was after 5 - so scratch that. Then we were gonna go meet up with one of the other moms we were going with, and then gonna stop BACK by the hampton to see Lindsey on the way to the neighborhood we were trick or treating in. But she wasn't back by the time we headed over there - So scratch that too. So we went ahead and went over to the friends house, and she wasn't there. She had said it was ok to go trick or treating with them, so I thought maybe she was just late at work or something. So I text her - only to find out she'd changed her plans and just conviently forgotten to tell me. WTF? Yeah, pissed me off. I tried to contact her for three days straight, and she never replied. NOT MY FAULT that she couldn't reply. Just let me know. I promise it won't break my heart. But to not say ANYTHING, and for me to find out while I've got another friend and her kids with me waiting on you. That makes ME look stupid and disappoints the GIRLS. And THAT is what pisses me off. Just let me know. If you hate me and never wanna see me again, it might sting, but i'd rather hear THAT then be strung around. Just let me know what's going on. I think I deserve that. But anyway - scratch trick or treating with them.
So instead we just parked at the school and went trick or treating around the neighborhood on our own. It was just fine, we got plenty of candy, and the kids still had a good time. So yeah. It ended up being a good time. Then we went by grandmas house and got some MORE candy, lol. Then stopped at the Hampton and saw Sonya. So the end of the night was fine. Turned out great. But it took a horrible day to get us to that point.
Then we did burritos for dinner, and crashed out - HARD.
This morning we went to cash his paycheck and pick up some groceries. That was fine. Then we went over to the Vapor Hut. And NEVER have we experienced such horrible customer service. It was one of the other people and a new girl, and it was crap. It was stupid busy. There were pretty long lines. Ruben waited patiently, and got cut off three times. And the cashiers let that happen. They were out of his favorite juice, and REFUSED TO MIX IT RIGHT AWAY - which is BS because I know for a fact the regular owners who work there would have done it in a heartbeat. It was just STUPID! Then he wanted to buy a small bottle of a new flavor to try, and all they had was a big bottle, so he ended up having to pay for that instead. Which again is bullshit. Tomorrow we are gonna go over to the other store and talk to them and let them know what happened. HOPEFULLY he can get the flavor he prefers, and not have to pay full price since they screwed him over at the other one. NEVER though. Never has it been that bad. They are usually AWESOME. I guess when the owner is away, the other employees will play, and screw service BAD. So that set me off.
Other than that, the day was just crap because I got too anxious, still hurt from last night, and did too much over the last few days again. And It's that lovely time of the month. All combined, it was..... Interesting. Spent the rest of the day just laying around. Which I needed, lol.
Right now, it's time to do pizza and cheese bread for dinner, watch some TV, and relax. Tomorrow will be better. I know it will. BUSY, but better.
Gotta drive out to Moore to hit the other Vapor Hut and find out what can be done about that. Then after Ivy gets out of school we are gonna go to the library and return the books and check out a few more.
Anyway. Gots things to do. LATERS!
