Spring break

This week was the girls spring break. And it is Rubens vacation. He took an actual vacation. Took a week off work, and we've spent a lot of time doing a LOT of things.

Not everything we wanted to do since some of it was WAY more expensive than we thought it would be (like the indoor go cart stuff we wanted to do.  20 bucks for 10 minutes!!!) or wasn't actually open during the week right now (like Frontier city, or the sandridge skybridge rope course) but it's been really awesome anyway.

We've played a TON of mini golf.  Played twice in Arkansas, and another 5 rounds since we've been back at Celebration Station.  That's something we used to do all the time before we had the kids, so it's been nice.  Hard physically, since it requires so much walking, but it's been worth it.  We did some shopping.  We ate out a time or two.  We even got to hang out with some friends we hadn't seen in a while, and one we don't get to do much with outside the house.  It's been a load of fun.

But now we are gonna crack down and get some work done around the house.  The main thing I'm working on today is gonna be the girls bedroom.  Gonna go in there and actually get rid of some stuff.  Mostly the broken toys/ happy meal toys/ stuff like that.  Get it organized into a more functional bedroom so they've got space to play, and they won't have such a hard time keeping it clean because they've got WAY too much in there right now.  So we are gonna get that done. Which makes me happy. :)

Then we are gonna build some terrain for Infinity/ warmachine.  Ruben's supposed to get up in about 20 minutes, and then we will decide on the exact course of the rest of the day.  Tempted to go to the movies, but not sure about that one yet.  I think we are probably just gonna stay around the house and get the things we need to do around here finished so we don't have to rush through it.  That, and I'm EXHAUSTED!  We've done way too much this week, haha.  TOTALLY WORTH IT, don't get me wrong.  And i've definently enjoyed the time to get out and do what we want, when we want, without having to worry about not having enough money for the girls to come with us, or finding a babysitter.

We bought a lot of movies for super cheap.  We got a total of 10 movies for 40 bucks!  The Resident Evil quadrilogy.  The Lethal Weapon movies.  A movie called Red with Bruce Willis and a couple other big names.  And Coraline. :)  We bought me this really pretty LED light branch thing that I'll be able to use as a reading light in the bedroom, and it's pretty too.  We bought a TON of stuff to build terrain out of.  And a really pretty storage box for the girls bedroom (seriously cute!)  Don't have a LOT of money left, but truthfully I"m ok with that.  We spent a lot of time together too, which has been wonderful.

Tomorrow is OKC wars, and the girls are coming back to town tomorrow too.  They aren't gonna get out of Arkansas until after 1-1:30, so they won't be back until between 4-5 probably.  So I should get some good time at the wars before I have to worry about getting back out to meet them at home.  I do miss my littles, for sure.  I'm just glad they had such a good time down there.  I was honestly worried about Desi, but I honestly think she's doing better than Ivy, haha.  But they've both had some good times down there, so it's been nice.

And then it's back to real life.

Back to school, and laundry, and Ruben back to work.  It's keeping up with the house and not getting out much.  It's making the best of the time we have.  And I just hope it's not gonna be as boring since we actually got some time to do things together.  AND we found a few things that we can do together that won't cost us too much. :)  So that's gonna be a plus.

So for now, I'm gonna go wake Ruben up and get the rest of the day started.

LATERS!
