So close, yet so far away

That title means so many things right now.

The car had SOOO much work done on it this year, but we are still so far from being done because the freaking head gasket was blown - which pisses me off because if we'd known that before we did everything else, it wouldn't have been a issue cause I'm sure I could have made it work.  But alas, we have the parts and the URGE to get it done, but not the TIME or HELP - so I highly doubt it's gonna be done any time soon.

I am so close to my friends - Too many to list here.  We are always there for each other despite the distance, and It means a lot to me that they've always been there for me.  But we are SOOO far apart distance wise.  Even those in the OKC metro because of the fact our current car can't take the interstate.  I can still see them, but it takes FOREVER to get there.  And I hate it.

I have the beginnings of an ACTUAL diagnosis - rather it's MS or if it's been misdiagnosed - but SOOO far away because I need an MRI to find out FOR SURE - and that is either going to take me going to the doc a few times for them to rule everything else out - or 800 bucks!  SOOOO frustrating, cause not knowing FOR SURE is stressful and exhausting, and I can't get the exact meds so it's a guessing game of what would work and what won't.  So yeah......

We are so close to the end of the school year - Just over 2 weeks away!  But those last two weeks are SOOO LONG, lol.  Could be far worse, I'm sure.  It could be the START of the school year again, haha. But still, Ivy is doing GREAT - even brought her D up to a B already (far as I know) so that's a big deal.  This summer is gonna be busy.  Gonna focus on Ivy Reading a lot more.  Gotta get Desis shots up to date so I can get her down and enroll her in Kindergarten for next year.  That is still crazy to me, by the way, lol.  Bout to have two school age kida!  One is about to be 10, and one is gonna be 5.  Just crazy to me, lol.

This summer is gonna be CRAZY.  I've got a LOT of things planned.  Now, none of them HAVE to happen, but it'd be WONDERFUL if they could.  I plan on making it a point to get together with some of our friends at least once a week - rather it's to go swimming, or to the zoo, or to the library.  Just to get together and visit since we don't get to do that very much during the school year.  Gonna get Desi into school, and all that entails.  Gonna get the house DEEP DEEP CLEAN!  Gonna PURGE a TON out of the house.  Clothes we don't wear, clothes the girls have outgrown, toys that are broken, or that they've outgrown.  And then I'm gonna ORGANIZE everything so that it's easier to keep up with, and easier to find.  It's easier to say than to do, but I am bound and deturmined to get it done.  Not worth it to stress over everything we have, or to have the house so damn cluttered all the time!

Hard to believe it's been over a year since My body truly started acting up and affecting my life every day.  And it's hard to believe that Ruben has been completley Cigerette free for over a year too!  So much has changed over the last year it's not even funny.

Touchy subject alert - don't read this paragraph if you're skittish, haha

It's hard to believe that Ivy is gonna be 10 - and I'm starting to notice puberty signs starting to show up.  And I"m having issues with the fact that it's about time for the MONTHLY and SEX talk.  I remember having a discussion about puberty, and periods, and sex - but of course I don't remember it because it's been YEARS ago now, haha.  So I need to figure out how to tell her about it so she will TRULY understand what I'm saying, ya know?  And It might be time to buy some tampons and/or pads for her for the first time she starts so we don't have to rush off in the middle of the night (which is what happened to me!!!) to make sure she's got what she needs.  Gonna buy some pamprin, and tampons and some pads.  I've already got a heating pad, so if she gets crazy cramps we can be ready for that. UGH!  It's times like this that being a mom to girls is really hard, haha.

Tonight I'm doing an EASY but awesome dinner.  If you've ever had the KFC chicken bowls, you'll know what I'm talking about.  It's Tyson Southwestern chicken strips, brown gravy, corn, and instant potatoes.  Stupid easy, fast, and filling.  And everyone really likes it, so that's what's really awesome, lol.  Sometimes it's hard to get my girlies to eat their dinner, but this way they always make a happy plate/ bowl.

Tomorrow we've got some errands to take care of - namely taking care of the rest of the rent because his job is SHIT with money issues.  They'd discussed changing the pay periods to end on FRIDAY instead of SUNDAY, but then they didn't do it.  BUT, the girl that was working payroll this last time didn't REALIZE (Which I find to be BS - just saying) that they weren't doing it until they'd already cut the checks.  SOO his paycheck was 16 hours short!!!!  2 full days - out of our RENT check!  Now, if we'd known in advance it wouldn't have been a HUGE issue when he said he wasn't going to get it to us until the NEXT paycheck.  BUT, we didn't know, so I could budget things out right.  Thank goodness his boss called the fucking owner and a lot of hateful curse words were thrown around - including STUPID MOTHERFUCKER - which I find hysterical, haha.  The manager curseing ot the owner?? I would have LOVED to be there for that.  And that's the reason they are getting this small check.  Otherwise, we'd be SCREWED!  So we gotta go take care of that. 

This weekend we are probably going to clean house (unless I can get it taken care of in the next day or two) and then spend a LOT of time playtesting Warmachine lists for the next OKC wars - since it's gonna be a tournament type thing for prize support.  AND, we are gonna get our terrain finished for the Terrain Building contest.  SOO lots going on.

MAYBE Sunday morning I'll take the girls to the zoo - if I can get someone to go with us.  I love going, but I hate when it's just the two girls and I.  Never as much fun.  SOOO, if I can convince Rachel and her littles, or Alyssa and her littles, to go with us we will go do that.  Otherwise, we probably won't go do anything other than Laundry.  Personally, I might see if I can get my MIL to do it for me, lol, so we can spend more time with her friends.  Just have to see what happens, cause I doubt that will actually come to pass.

This Sunday is Mothers Day - So I bet we will do Mothers Day stuff Saturday since Ruben will sleep all day Sunday.  Then Wednesday I'll clean for James, Thursday is payday, and Friday is Rubens birthday.  Gonna have to get his bday stuff bought, lol.  :) 

Despite how busy it all is, It's gonna be good.

Rather it wants to be or not, haha.
