OK, so life has gone CRAZY!
Ok, maybe not THAT crazy, but OMG if I haven't been super super busy. Starting with the fourth. We went over to my MIL house to let the girls play with some fireworks. More sparklers and fountains than actual fireworks, but it was fun. Got some cute pics, and they had a blast playing in the pool. It was too hot for me, but then again, anything over 80 starts to wear me out super fast. But anyway, that was fun. Took home food and didn't have to cook, which was great, haha.
Friday we didn't get to spend the day with Ruben because he had to work that night. Hey, overtime is overtime (hopefully - but even if it's not it allowed him a three day weekend this week so I can't REALLY complain). It was super emotional. When all you get is two days and one night a week with your spouse, it's hard to let them go. It was super hard to handle fo rme, and I was an emotional wreck all day. And falling asleep that night was uber difficult too.
Then Saturday morning we got up and went over and got my in-laws so we could go out to their family reunion. Horray for a room full of people - most of which I don't know - for a few hours in the afternoon. Lots of smoking - which I am SOO thankful we don't have in our house anymore. Lots of drinking. LOTS of people all talking at once, and expecting us all to be social. I did know a few, so that kinda helped. And the girls had fun with all their cousins (sp?) because they have a TON of them out there. So it wasn't the worst day ever, but it certainly was exhausting. Then got home and woke the hubby up early so we could do dinner and spend a little time together before game night. I had EVERY INTENTION of staying up and hanging out and playing games - but instead I passed out on the couch about 10:30. And I was so exhausted that I slept until 9:30 the next morning!! It's been FOREVER since I've slept that long.
Well, then Sunday was laundry, so back to the in-laws house for a while. Girls played in the pool, I got a nap (because YES, I was THAT exhausted). Dealt with the drama of everyone being exhausted too, and it just stirred up a bunch of petty crap (nothing out of the usual over there). Went home, did dinner, hung out a bit before he had to work again that night.
Monday was supposed to be the day we just picked up a few groceries and relaxed. BUT, I had written the date down that we were gonna go hang out with Monika and the kids. SOO instead of relaxing, we all got into our swimsuits and went out to the pool party. They had a lot of fun. Enjoyed the water, because it wasn't too cold and it wasn't too hot. Desi did scare the CRAP out of me though. She'd been playing really good around the frong shallowish part of the pool, where she could touch bottom and play well. Well, we look over, and she's hit the slope into the deep end (which is OVER MY HEAD), and is under the water and can't get up. I flip out because I'm not entirely sure how long she's been there, and rush over to pull her out. Apparently it hadn't been too long, because she was still able to get breaths between caughing up what water she had in her lungs - which is a good thing. I do know CPR, so If i'd HAD to, i could have dealt with it, but I'm glad I didn't. Ya know? So we kept a closer watch on her, and she kept a closer eye on where she was in the pool, and we enjoyed the rest of the day. Have some pretty decent sunburn on my back, and the girls got their faces, but overall it was fun.
YESTERDAY we FINALLY got to just lay around and relax. I drew a bit on the pic I'm doing for Cassie. I'm loving it, even after I had to start over. I might still send her the other pic, even though there's a part of it I can't draw over because of the damn oil spilling on it. Oh, yeah. Desi broke my e-cig, and while I was trying to fix it (which I can't - it's broke broke) some e-juice spilled on her pic. Not an uber huge amount, but enough to ruin it because it won't dry, and I can't draw over it. SOO yeah - had to start over. Not a huge deal. But there were part of that pic I REALLY liked. Then we had chicken and rice for dinner - which is a new comfort food for us, haha, and watched some so you think you can dance before he had to go to work.
Today we hung around the house. I doodled, and watched some TV. We played some Netrunner. But there were a few not so great moments today too. We fought over the game. Friends from Texas are going home tomorrow and I really miss them. A friend of mine who is a super close friend up here was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. And a dog that's been in Ivy's life since she was LITTLE little passed away from cancer today. And my sunburn is CRAZY! Nothing that is the end of the world, but all together it's just been an emotional day. But tomorrow will be better.
Because tomorrow is the start of Ruben's three day weekend. We don't have ANYTHING outside the house planned (other than cashing his paycheck tomorrow AM and running paycheck related errands). Then we are home, and gonna get to enjoy THREE full days together, and TWO full nights sleep next to each other. :) I know some people might not that it's such a huge deal, but to us that is WONDERFUL! I'm ready for school to start so that I can sleep next to him each day too - even if it's just for a small nap every now and then. We are planning to build some terrain. Play some more games. Watch some movies. And just enjoy each others company and see what happens with the day. :) Might take a walk, or do the zoo, or something like that. Just have to see how we are feeling and what the weather does. Too hot and we won't leave the house AT ALL. haha.
ANYWAY
I should probably get off here and go to bed.
So goodnight my dear friends.
Sleep tight tonight.
Sweet dreams
And may you wake tomorrow
and find it a better day
than you had today.
LOVE YOU!
