DISCLAIMER:
This post is political in nature. Don't like political topics, leave now. I will not hold back my opinion about certain things, and some of you may not agree with me. I WILL NOT TOLORATE ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS OR HATE SPEACH! Don't agree with me? That's fine, but keep it civil
That being said, this is your last chance to turn and run, lol.
Now, at the end of this post there are other things I'm gonna write about. Things that aren't so hateful, lol. So if you wanna read them, just scroll down to the symbol like these and you can read from there, k? Thanks

OK, you were warned, haha.
The one major topic on my mind today is Congress. Congress and all it's stupidity and greedy BS and hate speak that's been going on. And Politics as a whole.
These people were elected to provide for the health, safety, and well-being of the people of our great (if you wanna call it that the way things have been going) nation. Yet they spend the VAST MAJORITY of their time fighting about which side is right.
And then we hit a period like right now, where we are less than 12 hours away from the Government shutting down - AGAIN - because they can't agree on spending and a national budget - WHILE THEY SIT IN OFFICE MAKING A 6 DIGIT INCOME!!! They are screwing with programs that affect those BELOW THE POVERTY LINE struggling to make ends meet to begin with. They are screwing with things that can BRING IN MORE MONEY for the nation - like national parks, and tourists from other countries. They are screwing with the national healthcare by screwing with the funding for disability, and medicare/ medicaid. They are screwing with things that people NEED - but because THEY don't need it, it's obviously not important. And that just pisses me off.
Most of these people have NEVER had to live below the poverty line. They've ALWAYS made PLENTY of money to cover bills, and put food on the table, and buy stupid expensive cars and send their kids to stupid expensive private schools.
At the rate they are going, there's going to be a national revolution sometime in our CHILDRENS lifetimes (maybe even towards the end of ours) because they are selfish, greedy, heartless bastards.
They make me think of a two year old throwing a fit in the store because mom wouldn't buy them their favorite toy. They are throwing a fit because the other side won't let them have their way. The rate things are going, NOTHING is going to get better. And it won't change until the PEOPLE realize just how much trouble Congress is causing and either votes them out (of course, that only replaces the idiots with other idiots) or the entire system is changed. It's not working anymore. Not even a little bit. We are spending STUPID amounts of money on things that aren't important, while there are children going hungry every day IN OUR NATION! There are people without JOBS, and HOMES, and FOOD in our nation, but we are still sending people overseas to fight in wars. We are still spending money on scientific exploration of the sea bed - but not on creating new jobs, or helping with the energy crisis.
I am so confused by this whole thing, because to me it is an EASY OBVIOUS fix.
But nobody ever said logic was still alive. Those in power obviously don't have it in their vocabulary. They don't care about anybody but themselves, and what they want, and to hell with everyone else.
People need to wake up
People need to STEP up
And people need to make it better
Because until those affected DO SOMETHING
NOTHING WILL CHANGE!
I just hope this nation fixes itself before our children become adults, because if it doesn't, they are screwed. Having a 1% make the laws for the other 99% just doesn't make sense to me! Until you've lived in our shoes, and you know how it feels to wonder if you will be able to feed your children and keep a roof over their head, you have NO RIGHT making laws that affect the programs that help us out! NONE! Not even a little bit.
Oh, and one more thing - STOP BLAMING THE PRESIDENT because truthfully, it wouldn't matter if it was Obama, or a republican president - because CONGRESS is at fault. CONGRESS. Nobody else. Not at all. Not even one little bit. I'm so SICK of hearing people throwing blame around and not hitting the people truly at fault.
EDIT: One more thing. If you're gonna debate about the subject, be sure to get your facts straight, because when you start spewing things, you sound really really stupid.
Love my friends, but one of them told me that the argument in congress is because Obama passed a law exempting Congress from Obamacare - when in Reality, Congress is pissed because they are NOT exempt. Seriously, know the facts before you start saying things like that. Trust me, the information is EVERYWHERE! Take the two minutes you spent to spew that crap to actually look it up. Trust me, because when you spew that shit, and I look up the truth and post it for you, you'll look kinda stupid. Where if you'd looked it up and knew for sure what was going on, you wouldn't put yourself in that situation. K? Thanks.

Ok, rant over. Just sick and tired of the greedy that run this nation.

This weekend was pretty kool. lol. Well, I say that. It was kinda boring, but whatever.
Friday was picture day, so we got the girls up and got them all prettied up so they could take pretty pics for me, haha. They loved it, cause I let Ivy put some makeup on to cover up the red spots on her face, and Desi got to put some glitter on, lol. And then that evening we did dinner early, and went to bed early. It was GREAT to get to sleep next to Ruben. It is really annoying that we only get to do that one night a week sometimes. And this weekend was one of those weekends where I HATE his job's hours. I LOVE that the job pays the bills, and that he's been able to stay as long as he has, but sometimes it's really really hard to not have him home at night, ya know?
Then Saturday was OKC wars. Took the girls swimming while I had Marcy and James to swim and talk with. :) That was nice. Then James and I played a game of Warmachine - AND I WON! YAY! lol. It had been a while since I played with the list I played with, so it was nice to pull them back out again. Then after that was over I played a couple games with the others that were playing board games and card games and stuff. I missed out on Cards Against Humanity :( But we did play a couple others. So that was fun. :) Then we came home and did dinner and the girls crashed HARD, lol. Wore them out. Then Daniel came over and we watched some Stand Up and sat around and talked. That was nice, since it's been a while since I've been able to stay up late enough for company, haha.
Sunday was laundry, of course. But it wasn't too bad. The girls got to play with new dolls from their Uncle Bert. They are only two away from having all 6 equestria girls dolls thanks to him, lol. We are broke, so it's good that he has been able to spoil them. :) Then Ruben woke up early, so we left a little early and came home and did dinner and watched Iron Man 3 - which was also a gift from his brother. That's pretty awesome. LOVE that movie, haha. Pretty darn good.
This morning, after the girls went to school, Ruben and I went and picked up some more bowls - since the girls broke three of our four ceramic bowls the other night, haha. Yeah, not a HUGE deal, but we NEED them, so we had to get that done. Then we went and picked up the laundry and the money that Bonnie owed us. Then came home and ate lunch and watched the movies Upside Down (I think that's what it's called). It's actually REALLY GOOD! If you haven't seen it, find it! Seriously, it's THAT good. (at least I think it's that good, haha) Then I got to lay down and take a little nap before my brain started rambling away on me and woke me up. Not a HUGE deal. Might try again once the girls get home.
For now, I'm gonna load up a movie and relax. Still got about an hour to kill.
LATER TATER!
